The boys are back in action this weekend with a fixture under the lights. Looking to get back into winning form after an tough loss to top of the league last weekend. Hoping to keep the momentum from precious games until the end of the season.

The team led a 3 station skill carousel and then took over the line out set piece session.

Pictured is Alex with head coach Tom from Harborne. Alex is a coach at Pro Academy and a member of Uni of Birmingham’s high performance squad. He brought some great detail to the session and new ideas.

Head Coach Tom Bird said “today Harborne RFC had the pleasure of ProAcademy Rugby coaching running a clinic for us at West Hills.

Great energy and engagement from the lads with the coaches. Great expertise from the ProAcademy Rugby coaches to improve and sharpen the squad.

Development today puts us in a great position to finish the year on the front foot.

A 2:15 KO against this weekend for the boys, looking to secure a win on his return to captaincy after a few weeks down under. Come show the lads some support. **n

Last weekend, a brave band of N Mids Social players defied the conditions that caused lesser teams (or at least those without an all weather pitch) to cancel at the weekend. They convened at Stourbridge RFC to indulge in a spectacle of free flowing rugby in the rain. Clubs represented were Aston Old Ed’s, Dudley Kingswinford, Harborne, Moseley Oak, Stourbridge, and Veseyans.
The scoreline was 12-10, and as always, rugby was the winner.
