Squash courts first arrived at the Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham in 1934 when two were built. Since then it has held the menβs British Open in 1969 and 1970, along with early rounds more recently.
Rising to six courts when a new clubhouse was built in 1965 it became the coaching base of Nasrullah Khan (pictured at the club) who was instrumental in the success of Jonah Barrington, along with a number of other players who were attracted to his mentoring there.
