So 2026? My half year review…
The first six months of this year have been times of massive growth, reaching my own destinations which become just a deepening and continuation of movement, blossoming into new evolutions, learning, friendship, courage, and many moments of gratitude.
It’s never perfect, it’s never finished, but always a process that is really so much more grounded and rooted in my voice. And I am always grateful to all my teachers and colleagues that hold me in my process whilst I hold others in theirs. With deep respect to you all and your work which I take forwards🙏 A collective holding - now that is both a wonderful image and reality 🥰
Here’s a glimpse of my journey so far, looking forward to moving through the next half!

Thank you for being with me too,

Sarah xx

💌 Yesterday ☀️ Three hours of movement, imagery, felt sense and genuine discovery. Time to feel a little more like you again.
We explored fascia through the Franklin Method® lens, learning by felt sense - the most valuable knowledge of all - how our body responds how to attention and intention. And then how to take a deeper breath using imagery to support our wellbeing. Embodiment movement for our bow and joint health from Buff Bones and then sensory foraging from the Leven Institute 🥰
This space. The silence. Connection and community. The felt sense of understanding returning 🥰
This is what embodied learning looks like.

Join my mailing list for upcoming retreats and immersives from a regulated professional in somatic movement education and somatic movement therapy.

I’d love to welcome you to a different way of moving thinking and feeling,

We chase the end product. The feeling of being “there.” But embodiment isn’t a destination - it’s the practice itself. It’s feeling where we are moment to moment. Acceptance. Being. Not doing. And not needing to be perfect.

Yes, it takes time. Yes, you feel the shifts happening. But the real work is learning to enjoy becoming. The journey has twists and turns but is exciting and nourishing - it’s a process. And one I’m pleased to help guide others on.

This summer I’m pausing my Shropshire retreats and heading north to the city of York, my second home - but I’ll be back in October with something new. If you want to know what’s coming, join my mailing list.

For now: take a breath, move with intention, find what is you. Feel what’s real. Enjoy the practice. Enjoy the moment. See you again Shropshire! 🥰

Movement for Midlife 💝
Hi everyone,

If you’ve been waking up feeling stiff, a bit disconnected from your body, or overwhelmed by the mental and physical shifts of midlife, I want you to take a deep breath.

Your body isn't failing you. It’s just changing. And it’s asking for a new toolkit.

On Sunday, 7th June, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, I am hosting a special Movement for Midlife Pop-Up at the tranquil Newton Meadows, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This morning is specifically curated to help you truly understand what your body needs at this stage of life.

We are moving away from the no pain, no gain mentality and moving toward true body intelligence.

Here is what I am bringing to you for this 3-hour immersion:

🧠 The Franklin Method® & Myofascial Release: We’ll use specialised tools to release tight fascia, unstick restricted joints, and ease the chronic tension that holds you back.
Deeper Breath, Calmer Mind: I will teach you practical self-regulation tools to soothe your nervous system, quiet the midlife mental chatter, and unlock a deeper breath.
🦴 Pilates for Bone & Joint Health: We will move through a dedicated Pilates session designed specifically to promote bone and joint health, to leave you feeling stronger, calmer and more like you! Its suitable for those of your with bone density issues and osteoporosis too!

Come and work with a regulated specialist in mind body and movement work. I am also a Comprehensive and Remedial Pilates Teacher and Faculty for Buff Bones® the global system for bone and joint health. So you can be sure you are in good hands with an expert verified by third parties globally.

Come by yourself or with a friend, and leave Newton Meadows not just feeling physically lighter and mentally calmer, but empowered with the knowledge of how to care for your body during this transition.

Space is limited so that everyone gets personalized attention and access to the specialised Franklin Method tools.

Light refreshments are provided.

Relational.
This image - a metaphor for presence.
As a somatic therapist I read so much on social media about doing exercises to regulate your nervous system. And this is an important part of my work too - but its not the only part. And I have years of professional training and felt embodied experience to understand how and when to use these tools safely. We keep reinforcing the idea that being calm all of the time is how we should live. We need to ‘fix’ ourselves. Our full range of humanness is not welcome. But for humans we live in the whole range of experience and emotions - they all have value as they point to things that have great meaning.
For some of us there is not enough felt safety, and that’s where therapists can step in and be that safe other with you to help you develop more capacity. But for so many of us what we need more than anything is connection.
Look at what’s happening here - my friend sitting with me in my messiness of grief a few years years ago not trying to change me but being deeply present - if you work with birds you know how present and wise they are! And in that moment I was held and it was felt. ❤️
Animals get this so right because belonging and connecting is how they survive and thrive. In community. In places of safety. They sense it and they feel it at such speed. And as mammals we also have the same needs, to be held in community. To be held in relationship. In safety. We feel and at such speed too!
My thoughts for mental health week is not only to give yourself the grace and space to be a messy imperfect human, reach for connection if you need support, but also to be there for others too. Relational health is built slowly over time, through small repeated moments of connection, attunement, accountability, softness, truth. Healing happens in connection. Not the big gestures, but the unimpressive repeated moments of connection where healing can happen.

From one messy imperfect human to another, and not an AI!

Be gentle,

Sarah 💜
