We are on the lookout for a couple of players still to join our u14 Sunday team now confirmed to be in TJFA division 3, team have been champions every year since starting and are capable of holding there own in the top division easy. There is opportunity for plenty of game time over the season plenty of tournaments etc, players are a cracking group and parents alike. Will consider high level u13s Mick Fieldson

HQH Summer World Cup 🏆💚🤍

Today we travelled to the north of Newcastle for the HQH Summer World Cup as part of our pre-season preparations after a month off. We entered the tournament purely to build fitness and sharpness, knowing we’d be facing some fantastic, well-established, high-level opposition.

Game 1 – Gateshead FC 4-0 L 🛑
The lads were outstanding for the opening 10 of the 16 minutes and looked the more likely side to score first. Gateshead then found the breakthrough with a good goal, our heads dropped slightly, and they quickly took advantage. The scoreline was harsh on the performance.

Game 2 – Wide Open FC 2-1 W ✅
A hard-fought battle where the lads showed great character and fully deserved the victory.

Game 3 – Wallsend Boys’ Club 1-1 D 🤝
A really unlucky result. We led for almost the entire game and looked set for another win before conceding a late penalty after the ball struck an arm from just two yards away—absolutely impossible to react. Another excellent performance.

Game 4 – Newcastle Blue Star 1-0 W ✅
A fantastic volley from Jenson secured the win in a game we controlled from start to finish.

Game 5 – Red House Farm 3-0 W ✅
The game came alive towards the end, with three quick-fire goals putting the finishing touches on an excellent group-stage performance.

We finished joint top of the group with Gateshead FC on 10 points, earning our place in the final. Unfortunately, the better team won on the day, but every single player should be incredibly proud. They represented their new club brilliantly, competed with some outstanding teams, and certainly got our name out there.

A fantastic day’s football and a brilliant start to pre-season. The future is looking very bright. 💚🤍

Kids have been seen on top of the pavilion roof up Leeholme recreation ground, I know a lot won’t see this but if they do or get relays back to them. The roof is nion 20 years old there’s a big chance that it will damage very easily or even cause a big accident for whoever is up there not been a massive Karen we’ve all been there but when that’s damaged it affects everything ourselves and Coundon cricket club are trying to do just be mindful 👍🏻👍🏻

Here goes nothing… I’m organising a tournament in August at the Field of Dreams to help raise some funds for the teams. We’ll be looking for volunteers on the day who’d like to help out and put on some fun activities for the kids as well.
