Season Three is underway. And we started exactly where we should, building the foundations!!

Before we build power, we rebuild the base. This week was all about posture, breathing, deep core activation and moving well. Because strength that holds up under pressure has to be built from the ground up first.

That’s the difference between a programme that’s designed and one that just throws exercises at you.

Our members came back (and some joined us for the first time) and did exactly that. Squats, planks, lunges, DB swings. Nothing flashy, everything purposeful.

We’re only one week in and there are still a couple of spots available across our Mon / Tue / Thu / Sat sessions.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us this is the best possible time to start. Week one sets the tone for everything that follows.

Drop a comment or send me a message and we can have a quick chat first. 😊

She came to us wanting to feel stronger. A few months later she's climbing fells with no aches the next day.

When Katherine first started coming along she went from once a week to twice weekly because it was working.

In her words: improved core strength, better balance, and climbing fells far more easily than before. No aches and pains the day after.

That's the kind of result that doesn't come from grinding yourself into the ground. It comes from showing up consistently, being coached properly, and being around people who encourage you.

New season starts Monday 4th May. Sessions on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Sat.

Small groups, proper coaching.

I've got a few spots left, message me if you'd like to have a quick chat. No pressure. πŸ™Œ

If you're waking up at 3am, struggling to switch off, or sleeping 7 hours and still exhausted, this is for you.

Poor sleep after 40 isn't just bad luck. There are specific reasons it happens, and most of them are fixable.

Here's what's actually going on:

πŸ”Ή Progesterone drops first. This is the hormone that helps you fall asleep and stay there. When it declines, light sleep and early waking become your new normal.

πŸ”Ή Cortisol timing shifts. Your stress hormone peaks earlier in the morning, which is why 4am wake-ups feel so alert and wired. Your body thinks it's already time to go.

πŸ”Ή Blood sugar instability. If you're going to bed with unstable blood sugar (often from under-eating or eating late), your body wakes itself up to regulate it.

πŸ”Ή Temperature regulation changes. You lose body heat faster, which disrupts the deep sleep stages where all the real recovery happens.

None of this means you're broken. It means your body has changed and your approach to sleep needs to change with it.

Three things that actually help:

βœ… Eat enough protein across the day (especially at dinner) to stabilise blood sugar overnight
βœ… Keep your bedroom cooler than you think you need. 16-18Β°C is the sweet spot for women 40+
βœ… Get outside in natural light within 30 minutes of waking to reset your cortisol curve for the next night

Small shifts. Real difference.

If sleep is something you're struggling with, it's one of the four pillars we work on inside Reclaim Collective. Because no amount of training fixes exhaustion.

Save this one. Share it with a friend who needs it. πŸ’™

Most women over 40 don't struggle because they're not trying hard enough. They struggle because they've been given the wrong approach.

Every Monday they restart. Cut carbs. Push harder. Feel exhausted by Wednesday and give up by Friday.

It's not willpower. It's the programme.

What actually works at 40+ looks different! Less extreme, more consistent, built around your life not against it.

That's exactly what our small group sessions are designed around.

Postnatal fitness is a phrase that gets thrown around alot. Here's what it actually means when I programme a session.

It means every exercise gets selected with your postpartum physiology in mind. Your pelvic floor. Your abdominal recovery. Your hormones, your joints, your sleep-deprived energy levels.

We are not doing crunches. We are not doing high-impact jumping. We are not doing anything that creates unwanted pressure on a body that is still in recovery.

What we are doing is rebuilding foundational strength. Restoring function and moving in a way that supports your recovery.

If you've received GP or midwife clearance to exercise, you're ready for this session. Whether that's 8 weeks postpartum or 8 months.

Next Tuesday April 14th @ Farnham Village Hall with

DM for more details.

Let's be honest, most fitness classes aren't designed with a postnatal mum in mind.

You're expected to arrange childcare, show up on time and perform at a level that has nothing to do with where your body actually is right now.

Our April 14th session at Farnham Village Hall with Babble & Bliss is built differently.

Baby is with you. Not only tolerated, actually included. The session is structured around your recovery, your energy and your body's current capacity. And every woman in that room is in the same postpartum season as you.

That's not a coincidence. That's the point.
