Actability Inclusive Theatre Company creates performing arts opportunities for people with disabilities of all ages.
Actability are currently building towards a new touring project , a new culturally diverse show for children called Treetales, This show will tour schools and theatres from April 2014,
Actability took their water based project Dramaquarium again at a special school in January 2014. Actability are working in partnership with local provision for the elderly in East Herts to create a new show and p
this is to let everyone know that after almost 10 years I will no longer be working with Actability . Its been fabulous and stressful in parts but the time has come for me to move on and say goodbye completely. Actability continues and new things will happen . Thanks and good luck to all. Time for change
Actability is not merely a theatre company, it is an organisation focused on social justice. Theatre mirrors society and theatre seems to have become something for the privileged few. Since 2005 we have provided opportunities for over 12000 people to access performances and workshops. We seek your support to continue with this work. We will be in Sainsbury's in December packing bags again to raise funds for our work, especially our work with the elders of our community . See you there!
Actability continue to run 2 sessions a week.
Monday nights at a local day centre
and Tuesday afternoons at Rhodes Arts Complex. Both sessions are run by James Mullarkey , who has been supporting , performing and leading stuff for us since we started. Thanks James for all you do,it is important work.
here is an idea, it may have been done before but not our way. How about a piece of drama specifically involving people with epilepsy. Anyone want to help us put it together?

A Brilliant day bag packing and raising money in Sainsbury's today. A million thanks to all who came to pack and fundraise, to the fabulous staff at Bishops Stortford Sainsbury's and last and in no way least to the wonderful , kind people of Bishops Stortford who gave so generously of their time and hard earned cash.
We will be back just before Christmas to do it all again only bigger!
