⚽️Great day of football today in Fylde. As expected, some really tough opponents coming up against the serving teams of the Lancs. We finished our group with 1 win and 3 losses. We of course do not want to lose games but it’s all about the camaraderie and connecting with serving members/veterans in the Armed Forces community.

🏆 Congratulations to 1 Lancs B on winning the tournament and a big thanks to The Duke Of Lancaster's Regiment for having us over.

🚀 Special mention to Scotty C for his goal from our own box (good clearance mate 😏) well done to all involved. Onto the next….

⚽️ Last night, our Veterans marked the start of Armed Forces Week with a very hot, but great session of football. Well done to all who attended.

🏆 Some of the Veterans now look forward to Saturday where we travel to Fylde to take part in ‘The Lions of England’ tournament, as part of The Duke Of Lancaster's Regiment 20th anniversary celebrations. Good luck team.

🤝Yesterday, some of the Veterans travelled to Wales to take on Wales Armed Forces Veterans FC in an 11 aside friendly at Colliers Park.

⚽️Wales are an established international veterans team who are due to play in the Veterans World Cup, so it was going to be a big challenge from the start.

Wales came out on top 6-3 winners but the lads should be proud of their performance, especially with being so inexperienced playing together in this format. Some very good football from both teams in what was an enjoyable fixture to watch.

Well done to all involved and a big thank you to Team Wales for hosting us. We look forward to meeting up with Wrexham Armed Forces Veterans soon.
