We wanted to let everyone know that we are in the process of moving over to a brand new Strong Football Community CIC page.

Unfortunately, we do not have full control of this current page, which means we are limited in how we can manage it properly going forward. The original owner of the page is no longer contactable, so we have made the decision to restart the page properly and build it in a way that protects Strong long term.

Nothing changes with Strong.

The new page will be the official place for all Strong updates, including Monday night sessions, community fixtures, sanctioned competitions, events, sponsors, wellbeing work and everything else we are building together.

We know this page has over 1,300 followers, and we are grateful to every single person who has supported us so far. We would really appreciate it if you could follow the new page, share it, and help us bring the Strong community over with us.

What a game!

End to end stuff with both teams scoring one after another, with great finishes both teams.

Craig was a handful in the box scoring last minute goals to take the whites to a 10-6 win.

Nathan got his second goal for sessions from defence with 2 ball rolls past the whites midfield and slotted it top corner.

Both keepers made brilliant saves and showed bravery diving for the ball at players feet and commanding the box.

Thanks to the two new lads down tonight! Welcome to the group from us.

It’s more than football, it’s about forgetting what’s going on off the pitch and being with a group of supportive lads and playing the game we all know and love!

Monday Night Match Report – Strong Social Inclusion Football

Another quality night down at Strong last night and honestly, what a laugh it was!

Plenty of goals, a few “interesting” finishes, and non-stop banter from start to finish. But like always, it’s about much more than the football.

These sessions are about creating a space where lads can:
Switch off from the day
Have a laugh with others
Feel part of something
And most importantly… feel comfortable enough to open up and talk

That’s something we’re proud to support the breaking down of mental health stigma and reminding people that it’s okay not to be okay.

Whether it’s chatting on the sidelines, having a laugh after a missed sitter, or just knowing you’ve got people around you who’ve got your back, this is what makes Monday nights special.

Same again next week

Another Monday night full session, thank you to everyone who came down. It was great to see some old faces back down.

Whites came out on top with a 5-4 victory.

Players of the match went to Cuddy and Joe Currie. Ridwan, Ross, Joe Piper, Christian & Rob S all chipped in with decent performances.

Last night was a great laugh with some decent individual performances.

This quote from Johan Cruyff sums it up perfectly:

That is exactly why nights like this matter. It is about turning up, enjoying the game, keeping each other going, and looking for the positives!
