After some outstanding performances across Sunday’s fixtures, congratulations to our Supporters’ Players of the Week and Coaches’ Players of the Week! 🔥

🏆 Supporters’ Players of the Week

🧤 Sebastian Lewis – An unbelievable performance from the first whistle to the last! Seb produced save after save and delivered one of his best performances in a Gwent shirt.

🧤 Sam Veater – Absolutely brilliant between the posts! Sam stepped up when his team needed him and made some top-class saves throughout the afternoon.

🏆 Coaches’ Players of the Week

⚡️ Max Porter – His speed and athleticism caused constant problems, while his recovery runs, tackling and passing made him equally important defensively.

🔥 Mason Mahoney – A composed and determined performance despite receiving some physical treatment! Mason continued to demand the ball, stayed calm and added several goals.

Four thoroughly deserved awards after a brilliant afternoon of football. Well done, boys! 🧡🖤⚽️

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable coach to join We Make Footballers Gwent and work with our U8 competitive team throughout the 2026/27 season. 🧡🖤

📅 Training on Monday evenings
⚽️ Games on Sunday afternoons
📈 Ongoing coach development, mentoring and support
🏆 High-standard competitive fixtures

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing young players, creating a positive environment and helping the team continue to progress.

UEFA C/B qualified coaches are preferred, but we’re also happy to hear from ambitious coaches who are working towards their qualifications.

⚽️ A TOUGH OPENING TEST FOR OUR U9s! 💪

A huge well done to our U9s, who managed to pick up a couple of points against last season’s league winners, 👏

We couldn’t have asked for a tougher start to the new season, but it was a brilliant experience for the boys and an amazing opportunity to learn. They had to quickly adapt to the increased speed and physicality of the league, and they’ll be much better for the experience. The games we did lose were only by 1 or 2 goals showing that we will be competitive this season.

A massive thank you to for hosting us. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season and we’re already looking forward to the reverse fixture! 🤝⚽️

These teams earned their place as our Teams of the Week by playing football the right way, working together, being brave on the ball and producing some fantastic team football. Most importantly, they backed those performances up by winning their matches! 🔥👏

The results were fully deserved, but it was the manner of the performances that made our coaches especially proud.
