Our managers thoughts on today 2-0 cup win over Bathgate 💭
“2–0 and into the next round, which ultimately was the aim today. Another clean sheet as well, which is really pleasing, and two good goals from JC and Daz.
Credit to Bathgate, I thought their players worked really hard within their shape and made it difficult for us at times. They tried to frustrate us, but I thought the boys showed good patience, kept putting them under pressure and eventually that paid off.
I’d describe it as a professional performance. We did what we needed to do, managed the game well and, most importantly, made sure we’re in the next round.
We’ve got another cup game to look forward to next week against Forth. They’ll obviously have ambitions of progressing as well, so we’ll enjoy today, then get ourselves prepared properly for another tough game next weekend.”
