Our managers thoughts on today’s 0-3 away win over Giffnock 💭
“The objective today was to make sure we won the game and got ourselves into the hat for the next round, and ultimately we’ve achieved that.
I felt Giffnock came into the game with a clear plan. They were very organised in their shape and worked incredibly hard for one another throughout.
From our point of view, the first half wasn’t good enough. We made too many poor decisions in possession, and our quality at times, whether it was a pass, a touch or our use of the ball, let us down.
Credit to the boys in the second half. They took on board what was said at half-time and we started to impose ourselves on the game a lot more. We showed greater patience in possession, made much better decisions and, as a result, had far more control of the game and created some really good opportunities.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone at Giffnock for their fantastic hospitality throughout the day. The presentation they made to us at the end of the game was a real touch of class and very much appreciated.
I wish John, his coaching team and everyone at Giffnock all the very best for the remainder of the season.”
