THE NIGHTS ARE DRAWING IN…
"What's the best head torch?"
We know this may be sad to hear but, in case you hadn’t noticed… the evenings are drawing in.
But don’t worry…
CASTLE STRIDERS WILL NOT BE HIBERNATING!
Yes — we still walk, jog and run when the nights get darker.
We just make a few seasonal changes to keep everyone safe:
🥾 We’ll assess our trails - for more mud.
🔄 Alter routes - only if necessary.
🧤 Dig out the gloves, hats & waterproofs - but remember, "It never rains on a Striders Night'.
✨ And brighten ourselves up - so we’re much more visible in the dark!
And then there’s the subject that comes up EVERY winter…
🔦 HEAD TORCHES!
If you’re joining us on a darker evening, it’s important that you REMEMBER to bring your own head torch.
Our little Striders Strapline Tip:
RUN/WALK → HOME → CHARGE → SAME PLACE
Charge it after your run/walk and put it straight back in the same place.
That way, next Tuesday or Thursday, you know exactly where it is — charged and ready to grab on your way out the door.
