Today’s 3 mile run was very different 👀🏃‍♂️

Normally I’m trying to get it done as fast as possible… but this time the goal was to keep my heart rate LOW ❤️📉

After doing my VO₂ Max test, I found out how quickly my body switches from burning fat to burning carbs. So now I’ve got a better understanding of where my “easy zone” actually is.

For me, that means trying to keep my heart rate below 160bpm.

Sounds simple… but I kept drifting off thinking about everyday life 😂 and suddenly realised I’d sped up again.

I aimed to hold around a 12 minute mile pace and honestly it felt really controlled.

First low heart rate run done ✅
Plan is:
• Start with 2 runs a week
• Build up to 3
• Then once a month do my usual fast 3 miler to see if this training improves my pace too 👀

It’ll be interesting to see what happens over the next few months 🔥

I do love pull-up practice 💪💪we started on 10x2 rep of negative pull-ups with 3 seconds tempo.Then weighted chin ups 1 rep EMOM x5

Today I did a thing… and I’m honestly SO proud of myself 💯

Walked into BodyView feeling unsure… walked out feeling like Wonder Woman 😂💪✨

Life hasn’t exactly been “easy mode” — started my fitness journey at 21, had two more kids, got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, and now navigating hormones doing their own wild thing 🙃

BUT today’s results proved something important:
Consistency > discipline. Every. Single. Time.

Nearly 47 and still showing up, still putting in the work, still choosing my health every day 🧠❤️

This wasn’t just a check-in… it was a reminder of how far I’ve come.

If you’ve ever doubted yourself — don’t. Keep going. It all adds up.

Highly recommend doing something like this for yourself… you might just walk out feeling like Wonder Woman too 🦸‍♀️✨

It’s been a while since I’ve made this… but wow, I forgot how good it is 😍

Kedgeree from the Hairy Dieters recipe — seriously packed with flavour and so satisfying.

💪 Around 40g of protein
🔥 Low in calories
🌱 Super filling

I switched things up and used edamame instead of garden peas — extra protein, plus a nice boost of fibre and healthy fats. Basically everything your body needs to feel fuelled and happy.

Kept it simple with natural smoked haddock, and it worked perfectly.

Honestly, this is one of those meals you can have anytime — breakfast, lunch, or dinner… it just hits every time.

Definitely bringing this one back into rotation 🙌
