Bourne Town U7 Juniors

So so proud of our boys and the club today. What we have built is a group of players who will give everything for each other, parents who support us everywhere we go and a coaching staff who put countless hours into moulding these kids into good football players and even people better people!! We dont moan about the pitch conditions, we dont abuse referees or 6 year olds. We encourage our boys to make us proud. Excellent performance UP THE WAKES💜⚽️

Massive thank you to our coaching staff Dominic Gray for being up at 7am before a 9:30 kick off to ensure our pitch was in decent condition with rope set out before todays game!! We managed to get another game on!!🤣☔️ The Wakes made the long journey over to March fo face a side we havent yet faced this season so we were stepping into the unknown. The squad of 8 had a very short team talk from our coaches, who wanted to see maximum effort and teamwork as we knew with the conditions, it was going to be a slog! The game was very evenly matched with some strong tackling and good patterns of play from both sides. March took the lead, but once again our boys bounced back with a brilliant teamgoal were all 5 players touched the ball before a nice finish to level things up. The game continued to go back and forth. However, the lads conceded late on in the game thanks to a brilliant solo goal from March. The coaches were delighted with the determination from the boys. Lots to learn and a great platform to build on to finish our 1st season together. MOTM was Archie who played a fantastic game. Making some crucial saves and his kicking enabling us to get up the pitch well done Archie!! Back to training next week before we return back to familar surroundings at the rec next weekend. Following a number of postponements, the lads faced another game against local rivals Thurlby Tigers! The boys started really well and after some lovely passing combinations the boys raced into the lead. The football at times was really pleasing for parents and coaches to see with the lads holding positions well and created numerous opportunities to extend the lead further. However, Thurlby did get a goal back in the game and the game was played in good spirits once again👏🏻 MOTM this week was Oscar. Feels like a long time coming for Oscar who scored a couple of goals in the game and has scored many for us this season!! Well done Oscar!! Thanks has to go to our parents once again for coming to the game in numbers was brilliant to see💜Thanks to Thurlby again for a good game and for hosting us! Another weekend, another postponement due to poor weather😩 Training once again this Thursday for the boys before another local derby against Thurlby Tigers👀 Hopefully the weather holds off this week but the coaching staff are working hard to ensure we have a game next Saturday🤞 UP THE WAKES💜

The boys returned to action today against Peterborough Athletic the side we lost narrowly to away from home. But the young wakes, full of confidence from 2 home wins against local rivals Deeping United and Thurlby were determined to continue the fantastic run of form. Once again the lads started slowly, going behind by 2 goals. With their backs against the wall, the boys slowly grew into the game, some neat passing and finishing we found ourselves comfortable in the game. The game went back and forth with both teams scoring and giving their all to try and take the win. However, our boys dug deep and managed to control the game to win by 3 goals. Isaac was MOTM today with a battling performance and a couple of neat passes to his teammates. He may have been unlucky to have been MOTM last week but his hard work came to fruition this week well done Isaac👏🏻 attention now turns to next weeks tricky away fixture vs One Touch but the boys are bouncing and 3 wins on the bounce is no mean feat!!! Congratulations to the coaching staff who put alot into this team and a massive thank you has to go to our parents who support us through thick and thin👏🏻The Wakes march on💜⚽️

The boys were back in action today at home against Deeping United. The management team were keen to get a good start considering the lads havent scored the first goal in a game all season😬the boys continued this impressive feat and were 2-0 down inside 10 minutes🫣however once again they showed fantastic character to come back into the game. Some nice passing and movement from the attacking players complimented with some tough defending from todays MOTM Chase Allen resulted in the boys going to win the game 6-2!!! Brilliant way to end 2025 for the festive break. Overall the progress has been great to see and the management are excited for 2026!! Have a great weekend guys. Up the wakes💜⚽️👏🏻
