One of the questions I'm asked most often is: "How do I find more time?"

My honest answer?

I don't think that's usually the right question.

Because if I magically gave you an extra two hours tomorrow, would you immediately know what to spend them on?

Or would you still be weighing up whether to reply to emails, post on social media, update your website, follow up with enquiries, write a newsletter or work on that new idea you've been putting off?

For most of us, the challenge isn't simply finding more time.

It's deciding what deserves the precious time we already have.

That's why I believe clarity is one of the most valuable things you can give yourself as a business owner.

When you're clear on what matters most, decisions become easier. You stop jumping between tasks. You stop feeling guilty about everything you haven't done, because you know you've focused on the things that matter most.

That doesn't mean you'll suddenly have endless hours.

But it does mean those hours start working much harder for you.

That's exactly what I hope the Life-Friendly CEO Reset will give you. Not another list of things to do. Just 20 minutes to pause, think clearly and create a simple plan that works with your life as it is right now.

Because you don't need another productivity hack.

You need enough clarity to move forward with confidence.

πŸ’› If you'd like to experience that for yourself, I'd love to guide you through the Life-Friendly CEO Reset. It's completely free and you'll get instant access as soon as you sign up.

I LOVE looking back at what the women inside The Cocoon have been up to each month. Recently, our members have...

✨ Had their businesses featured on the radio
✨ Gained four new clients
✨ Submitted content for inclusion in a national newspaper
✨ Reached the point of having fully booked services AND waiting lists
✨ Published a book and made their first sales
✨ Had promising new enquiries come through simply from being visible and building relationships
✨ Received brilliant client feedback and got projects out of the door
✨ Created content together rather than trying to do everything alone
✨ Delivered big presentations while consciously planning around their capacity
✨ Used CEO Time to create clearer priorities and direction
✨ Kept showing up for visibility and networking, even during the school holidays

But some of my favourite progress this month has been in the way members are thinking about their businesses too.

One member shared that she's planning what is realistic for the summer based on the time she'll actually have around her children.

Another said she's finding it easier to let go of the guilt around stepping away from her desk because she's clearer on her priorities and the 5% activities that really matter.

And another reflected on how networking has helped her build stronger relationships, understand other people's businesses and spot opportunities to support each other.

THIS is what I mean when I talk about building a life-friendly business.

Of course we celebrate the clients, the bookings, the press opportunities, the sales and the growing businesses.

But we're also building businesses where success doesn't have to come at the expense of the rest of our lives.

And seeing women actually put that into practice makes me incredibly happy πŸ’œ

I love helping women find clarity in the midst of all the noise.

Running a business can feel overwhelming when you're trying to make big decisions on your own. Sometimes, what you really need isn't more information or another strategy... it's someone who will listen, ask the right questions, and help you see the path ahead more clearly.

That's exactly what I provide through my 1:1 mentoring.

If you're looking for capacity-first practical, supportive mentoring to help you move forward with more confidence and clarity, I'd love to hear from you.

Three weeks away from my business has made me realise how much bullsh*t we're being sold online.

There. I said it. 😬

I've spent the last three weeks travelling around China with my family, mostly switched off from work. But every now and then I've opened Instagram or Facebook for a scroll.

And I've noticed something I can't unsee.

My feed is FULL of people selling me "the ONE thing".

The strategy that's going to transform my business. The training that's going to unlock more sales. The messaging tweak I'm missing. The system, formula, framework or secret that will finally make everything click.

And here's the bit I find really interesting.

Even after 18 years in business, it still gets to me.

I can open social media feeling perfectly happy with what I'm doing and twenty minutes later find myself wondering whether I've missed something fundamental.

Should I be doing that?

Do I need to learn this?

Is THAT why I'm not where I want to be yet?

And if it can make me question myself after 18 years and five businesses, what is this constant stream of messaging doing to people who are newer to business or already feeling unsure about what they should be focusing on?

Because I'm starting to wonder whether there really is ever "one thing".

I've learnt some brilliant strategies over the years. I've invested in people who've completely changed the way I think about certain parts of my business. I'm a huge believer in getting help and learning from people who know more than I do.

But I've never found an actual magic formula.

Business has always been a constant process of deciding what needs my attention, taking action, seeing what happens, learning, adjusting and going again.

And I think the danger of constantly being told there's another answer out there is that we stop trusting ourselves.

We abandon things before we've given them a chance to work. We disappear down rabbit holes of courses and trainings. We start implementing someone else's strategy, then another one catches our eye and we change direction again.

We stay in a learning loop instead of actually running our businesses.

And yes, I know this is how we've been taught to market.

Find the pain point. Show people what's possible. Position your thing as the solution.

I've done it too.

But I'm starting to wonder whether we're all just... tired of it.

Whether instead of constantly telling business owners what they're missing, we need to help them get better at deciding what actually matters for their business right now.

Maybe the thing we need more of isn't another magic formula.

Maybe it's better judgement. More self-trust. More implementation. More willingness to stay the course long enough to see what's actually working.

Anyway, I'm genuinely curious about this rather than pretending I have the definitive answer.

Are you seeing these messages everywhere too?

And more importantly, how do they make you feel?

One of the things I hear time and time again is that The Cocoon feels different. πŸ’œ

It's more than a membership. It's a place where women in business can show up exactly as they are, celebrate the wins, talk through the challenges, and be supported by others who genuinely understand.

Because building a business can feel lonely at times. It shouldn't have to.

The Cocoon is built on the belief that you don't have to do business alone. With practical support, honest conversations, and a community that champions one another, it's a space where you can grow your business in a way that feels sustainable and Life-Friendly.

If you're looking for your business community, we'd love to welcome you into The Cocoon.

One of the biggest myths in business is that success gets harder the more your business grows.

That there'll always be more to do. More pressure. More responsibility. More hours.

I don't believe that has to be the case.

I think business should actually feel lighter as it grows.

Not because you're working less, but because you're making better decisions.

You've built habits that help you stay focused. You've created systems that stop everything relying on your memory. You've learnt what deserves your attention and what doesn't. And perhaps most importantly, you've stopped believing that doing more is always the answer.

That's the difference I see in the women I work with.

They don't suddenly find another ten hours in the week.

They become clearer. Calmer. More intentional.

They stop carrying quite so much around in their heads.

For me, that's what a life-friendly business is all about.

Not building a business that constantly demands more from you.

Building one that increasingly supports the life you're working so hard to create.
That's also why I believe so strongly in building habits instead of relying on motivation.

Motivation comes and goes.

Good habits quietly keep carrying you forward, even on the weeks when life is busy.

If you're craving that feeling of a business that feels calmer, lighter and more manageable, I'd love to introduce you to the Life-Friendly CEO Reset.

It's a free guided session that takes around 20 minutes and will help you step back, clear the mental clutter and focus on what will make the biggest difference next.

πŸ’› If that sounds like just what you need, you can get instant access to the Life-Friendly CEO Reset as soon as you sign up.

There's something incredibly special about supporting a client through a season of real change. πŸ’œ

Moving from employed work into full-time entrepreneurship isn't just a business decision. It's a mindset shift, an identity shift, and often one that comes with plenty of questions and self-doubt.

That's why my 1:1 mentoring isn't about handing you a blueprint. It's about helping you find clarity, make confident decisions, and build a business that's aligned with your life, values and goals.

Reading feedback like this reminds me why I do what I do.

If you're at a crossroads in your business, feeling ready for your next chapter but wanting someone in your corner to guide and support you, I'd love to help.
