Are you ready for Elite Walking Football?
Can you spot the trap the red team is laying? Look at the positioning. Where's the danger for yellow? What should they be worried about?
This is what elite walking football looks like — it's not about pace or power. It's about positioning, structure, and understanding space before the ball even arrives.
We're looking for players who think like this. Players who scan the pitch, understand angles, and see the game three moves ahead.
If this is how you think about football and you’ll be over 45, we want to meet you. Interested? Drop a comment below or email us on [email protected].
Or if you know someone who'd get this, please share. 👇
Do you have any spare dosh or know a company that are looking for marketing possibilities? Why not sponsor our club? Walking football is gathering pace and provides a fantastic opportunity for a sponsor to get on board and reap the benefits of marketing to the walking football community. Garry Malone our great over 50's manager has just announced a big coup - I’m delighted to announce that Gary Robson has decided to join our over 50's team. Gary is a brilliant footballer, a really top bloke, and he will definitely be a great addition to our squad. Welcome to Gary and well done to eerr Garry.
To complete the season the Dorset League ran an over 50's cup competition at the Littldown Centre in Bournemouth. First, congratulations go to Amesbury for winning the cup on penalties and to Eastleigh who came runners up (losing on penalties). Our 2 teams acquitted themselves very well Bournemouth with 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Bournemouth whites, despite 2 losses drew with the 2 finalists and won a further 2 games. A well done to both teams. There was plenty of great walking football to watch and enjoy so a well done to all teams.

Bournemouth Blues were winners of League 1. This team has grown in confidence and ability this season as we have introduced new players. They outplayed every team today with some amazing quick passing , good hold up play and a solid defence. The first goal came from Mick Holliday with a hard low right drive, beating the keeper with the ball nestling into the back of the net.

On Wednesday the 29th April at Littledown in Bournemouth 5 teams gathered for the last tournament in the Dorset Walking Football over 70's League. This was the inaugural season for the over 70's and it proved to be a great success. Many congratulations must go to Eastleigh who were very strong throughout the season and were worthy winners. Bournemouth WFC entered 2 teams in the League and despite sometimes struggling with players the club acquitted themselves very well. A great basis was established for future seasons. Well done to all the Bournemouth players and many thanks for your support in getting this new age group up and running.
