By having a workout plan or programme you are more likely to be successful in achieving your goals.

Go through the workout in your head first, that’s you mentally prepared for what’s coming.

Set up your equipment (if using any), set your music playlist and now focus.

The better you prepare, the better your workout will be.

Most things become easier with a little assistance.

Like this 2km sled push and equipment race.

Pushing yourself to new levels outside of your comfort zone results in improved fitness and recovery times, a rewarding feeling that your body will later appreciate.

Are Bootcamps meant to be fun?

Hell No!

Otherwise it would be called FunCamp.

You’re there to workout, work hard, work outside of your comfort zones and smash your goals.

If you want fun whilst training, stick with those Bootcamps that are simply interested in taking your money, and not the goals you want to achieve.

Some people have no idea what their true fitness potential is, because they leave a session having barely broken a sweat, not entered the Red zone, and not nearly puked.

If you’re looking for that extra motivational support, drop me a DM.

I saw this in a work chat group today, thought I would share it.

I was in an autism cafe call yesterday, and realised a way to describe the differences for NT and ND brains with the stimulation levels (noise, light, smell, movement, etc in any combination) in the office.

There is a coral reef you can visit.

NT people get there in a submarine which powers them along, then takes them down into the depths while cushioning them from the water pressure / temperature / currents / etc and supplying them with air.

ND people without accommodations have to swim out to the reef, then free dive down to it, feeling the currents, the pressure, the impaired eyesight, the temperature, etc. And we can only hold our breath for so long before we begin to suffocate or drown due to the surroundings.

ND people with accommodations get a wetsuit, some scuba gear, goggles or facemask, etc. We may even get some help with travelling out to the reef, maybe towed behind the submarine? As a result we can get there less tired, are less affected by the environment, can stay down there longer and do more while we are there before we are exhausted.

We aren't as free of stress as the submarine people in that setting, but it helps us to do more of what they do. And being outside the submarine means we may be able to do and see things that they can't, although this can be difficult to communicate through the walls of the submarine.

So true!

Welcoming Neurodivergent Clients.

Being a parent has many responsibilities. Your child depends on you, wants to have time with you and wants to make memories with you.
I know many people who would give anything to have one more day with their father, having lost them. But for many, the time we have now is not fully appreciated and considered valuable until it is too late.

Be there for your child, mentally and physically.
If they ask for your attention, or to play, think before you respond with "I'm a little busy right now", "I'm too tired to play", "I haven't got the energy" etc.

make time, look after your health, be a prime example to your child, give them your time and energy before it is too late.

Now working on the Physical Development of Neurodivergent Clients with Autism and ADHD. Inclusion of fitness in a daily routine is great for physical and mental development. I love it!

Good night Y'all. Let's go again tomorrow. Well done today!

It's You against You! Your mind is a powerful thing and a great influencer for quitting when times get hard. Learn to control that part of the brain that tells you to quit, to give up, or to not even try.

Once you get past that, you will learn to conquer it every time.

Think, just a little more, to the top of the hill, to the next lamp post, 30 more seconds, one more lift, sit-up, push-up, burpee, whatever.

When your mind wants to give up, there's generally 40% left that your body can still deliver, you just need to realise that.

Explore outside of your comfort zone and you will progress.
Next time you want to quit, think, I can do a little more.

The only person holding you back from your potential...is YOU!

16/02/2024

This is so true. So many people make excuses not to train, this mental block, this barrier that stops you from doing what you think you want to do. "it's raining, maybe I will go tomorrow", it's too cold outside, I feel tired, I don't feel like it today, my legs hurt.
If you set yourself a goal, the only person that can make you do it is YOU. You will take a lot longer to achieve anything if you spend time giving yourself a reason not to do it. And if you keep making those excuses, do you really want to change? Or are you happy being that person who has no energy to play with their kids, to do energetic things with their friends, to do fun things.
Stop making excuses and get out there and do it!
Small steps are still steps.
If you still struggle to get going and need a kick start, message me and I can help you. But you need to commit to yourself.

15/02/2024

I have 6 week and 12 week programmes, weight loss, hypertrophy, endurance training programmes, accessible via an online app. I can do 1-2-1, 1-2 Personal Training sessions for people who do not want to use a mainstream gym and rather work out in a small private gym.

Nobody fails in my sessions, everybody progresses.

I train people to lose weight, gain confidence, do exercises correctly, correct poor form, make people better at fitness. And I love what I do, because I see progress in others.

I can work with Neurodivergent clients, adults and children.

If you want to make progress and are willing to commit, message me to start your journey.

10 Miles with this thing, working outside of my comfort zone.

Why? Because doing something that others don’t want to do is a motivator for me.

An elderly lady said to me ‘why are you doing this, nobody in their right mind pushes a tyre around a forrest’.

My reply was ‘that’s why!’, nobody else wants to do this (apart from Dan who was also with me and another tyre). It’s sets me apart from others.

“That’s not normal” she said.

In my mind I said “F normal, who want’s to be normal”, but I was more polite and just smiled to the lady.

If you never explore outside of your comfort zone, you are going nowhere and will not progress!

I don’t like or enjoy running!

So why do I run EVERY day?

Two reasons:
1. The only way to get better at something is to do more of it…consistently.

2. I set myself a task of running a minimum of 10km per day in Feb. One person said I couldn’t do it, it’s too much!
Every time I think I need a rest, my brain says “you will fail if you don’t do todays run, and they will be right”.

So I run. I run to get better at running, get fitter mentally and physically, because someone doubted me.

I do it because discipline takes over, and I am disciplined, my ADHD brain needs that discipline and routine every day.

I don’t like running, but I do like achievement.

You don’t need big goals to succeed, you just need goals, and achieve them.

Discipline breeds success!

No excuses!

10/02/2024

Discipline first, then Habit!

If you can discipline yourself to aim for new goals, habit will soon take over.

Last month I didn’t like running much. February however, discipline has now become habit and I think I am becoming addicted to it.

Smashed 100km (accumulative) already.
Next milestone is 100 mile.

01/02/2024

1st Feb. Time to hit that reset button and focus on the month ahead and maybe a new goal or task to keep you on track. Small goals, achievable and timed to complete in this month. Maybe walking for 30 mins each day. Run a mile, or 2 or 3 every other day. Make your task a routine and keep on track, rewards will follow.

Back out with the Bootcamp UK posse today.
At an introductory 10 session s for £10, or the first 6 sessions free, it’s a win win.

Outdoor fitness, fresh air, and acclimatised to all weathers.

21/01/2024

It's Sunday, for some...a day of rest, for others...a time to reflect on the previous weeks training and time to focus on the week ahead.

Sunday is reset day. F**ck last week, that no longer matters now, it's what lays ahead that matters.

Reset your brain and focus. Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. No more excuses, push, and push harder than last week. Even if it is just a smidgen more, it counts as progress, and that's where you want to be each time.

Leave that comfort zone behind, because nobody progresses in the comfort zone.

Have a great week, go smash it.

If you need any help with motivation, training programmes, or any other assistance, from me, drop me a message.
J.

Just because it’s a little chilly outside is not an excuse to stop you doing what you normally do.

Don’t let the weather dictate your training.

Take control of your routine.

Have a great day!

18/01/2024

The next few months will go by whether you workout or not.
Don't get to a point where you wish you'd started when you said you would.

18/01/2024

Push harder than yesterday if you want a different tomorrow.
Because, nobody progresses in their comfort zone!
