Social Runs

With all the injuries and viruses I've been fielding over the past year, I feel like this has been the world's least reliable running group... And now I'm finally neither ill nor injured I just don't feel like running for some reason (may have something to do with pastries). So I have decided that I'm going to put the group on hold for this month, sort myself out and start a weekday evening group in April when it's light enough to run later in the day.

In the meantime, if anyone fancies company on a short weekend run please give me a shout - I'm going to need some sort of accountability to get me out the door so I have the minimum fitness required for April!

Sorry, been up sick for most of the night. Can't believe I'm cancelling AGAIN! This is just silly now. Next week 🤞

Every time I leave our drive I'm waved off by this merry herd of snowdrops (that's the correct collective noun, no?!) who remind me that spring is just around the corner and it'll soon be running shorts weather once more! So why not join us for an easy 5km run this Sunday and get into the swing of it before the really lovely weather starts (although it's been pretty good lately hasn't it?)?

Meet at 9.30am at the gateway to Bearfields Park on Ashley Road. Everyone is welcome, and we'll just be taking it easy - not least because I haven't ran for a few weeks now!

I am better (at last!) but we're having a family day tomorrow and I don't want to miss any of the adventures! I'll be back and raring to go (really slowly) next weekend.

Sorry, no run this weekend as I'm still suffering with a chest infection 😞

Sorry, once again the toddler's illnesses have struck me down and I'm not going to be running today 😔 And I thought it was the kids who needed to build up their immune systems, not the adults 🙄

Playing around with routes along the river at the moment so come join us on Sunday morning and see if I came up with anything good!

Three of us this morning for a 5km scamper around Bradford on Avon - we even took on the hill up Woolley Street (and won!).

Usual easy-paced 5km, lots of chatting and a couple of walking breaks whilst I try to find my fitness again (turns out it's not in the biscuit tin - who knew? Always best to check though.); everyone is welcome and it's all totally free!

Ooft, it's been a bit chilly this week hasn't it?! But Sunday *should* be a little milder (🤞) so let's meet for 9.30am at Bearfields entrance again for another wee 5km run! Any questions just ask; everyone's welcome!

I don't think I've ever complained or swore as much on a run as I did this morning! Four of us braved the cold and rain to dash around the local streets (avoiding the huge puddles on the back lanes today!) and even managed to find a glove I lost last week 😂

Same time same place next week (9.30am at Bearfields Park entrance), hopefully with better language from me...
