Just thought we would keep you up to date with what is happening with The Dance Flock.
We started doing our freestyles last year mainly because there was a shortage of freestyles at the time, especially smooth, wcs, blues and tango.
We had found a lovely venue ideal for our needs but unfortunately we had issues with reliability with the venue (or rather the committee) so had to find another venue. Which was even better but due to the short notice we could only get a few dates and nothing in December.
Since we started there are now several freestyles restarted and new ones available. We only started so we had somewhere to dance and were not doing it to make money.
In fact all profits we have made have gone to charity.
We have decided that rather than adding to the freestyles we will enjoy the other freestyles.
We have had many dancers ask us to start a class but we believe it is better to support the existing classes in the area with our guest teaching.
We will continue to support the dance community as we have done for over a decade now.
The Dance Flock is not going away but we are conscious that having too many events can actually have a negative effect on the dance community as will another dance class.
We will keep a close eye on the community and if we see the opportunity to bring you events that will enhance the community then we will.
In the meantime we look forward to seeing you on many many dance floors.

The Dance Flock is a new group for dancers. The Dance Flock is a new group for dancers, and has been set up for the discerning dancer.
We are Linda and Gary Shephard ( you see where the Flock comes in ). We both have a passion for dance, and that lead to the passion between us ! We met through dance and married in 2014. We have been looking for the opportunity to offer dancers something a little different – the sort of things you may not get elsewhere. At present we guest teach for independent dance venues in Yorkshire and Lancashire.

We were a bit quiet but it was a great night with lots of fantastic dances 😁
Unfortunately, the venue is booked until Christmas so that's the last one for this year 🥺
