Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon. For some daft reason we thought we’d walk from Nant Peris again with vim and vigour. Only to be immediately faced with a steep scramble up what felt like a cliff face. After a lot of sweat and complaining (from me) we joined the Llanberis Path and in turn the summit.

1,085m or 3,560ft - Snowdon is the highest peak in Wales and England, and what’s even more impressive was the fact that Max made it easily at nearly 12 years old. Daphne is still pi***ng about with her toys hours after we’ve finished and I’m a broken man at the Airbnb 😂

What an experience though, well worth the journey and battle (unless you decide to ride the train up of course)

Nant Peris > Elidir Fawr > Y Garn

On day 1 of our trip to Snowdonia 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 we thought we would take things easy and do an 8.5 mile hike.

How wrong we were, 2.5 miles of brutal uphill walking with a scree scramble to the top of Elidir Fawr (3,031ft) and then Y Garn (3,107ft).

The fun was not over though, hoping for a gentle downhill pootle to the pub we endured steep declines through streams, rocky outcrops and slopes that tested our resolve, and joints!

A crazy tough but enjoyable walk and much needed drink after, with varying degrees of tiredness from both humans and canines 🐕

Something a little easier tomorrow methinks
