What a day for Wickersley Blue! 🏆💙

Two absolutely outstanding, high-energy performances on Sunday saw the lads storm their way to being crowned Summer Tournament Champions. Every single player left everything on the pitch — determination, grit, teamwork, and pure desire from start to finish. 💥

It’s been incredible watching this group grow, gel, and raise their levels week after week. The togetherness, the fight, and the passion for the badge is what it’s all about.

And now… with two new boys locked in, the squad is only getting stronger 👀💪 — everything is to play for heading into the upcoming season!

A massive shoutout to all the players, coaches, and the unbelievable parents and supporters who brought the noise and backed the team every step of the way. You should all be massively proud.

These are the matches that test everything — intensity, grit, heart. Fast, fierce, and never easy. And today was no different.

From the first whistle, it was a tough start for the Blues. The game slipped away early, going 2–0 down inside the first 10 minutes. At halftime, the challenge was clear.

But these boys are defined by how they respond.

The second half? Pure magic. Heads lifted. Belief restored. The passing sharpened, the movement clicked, and chances started to flow. This wasn’t just a comeback — it was a statement. Every player stepped up, fighting for each other, playing with that unselfish drive that’s defined the team all season.

To top it off, a disallowed goal that could have sealed the win for the Blues — margins that tight, moments that big.

What can you even say about our boys and the weekend they delivered? “Proud” doesn’t come close.

Nine boys stepped onto that pitch with a mission—and they didn’t just meet it, they owned it. From the first whistle to the last, they showed exactly what they’re made of. Managers from across the county didn’t just notice—they couldn’t stop talking about them. Not just a good team… the team of the tournament.

It wasn’t only their skill that turned heads—it was the fire, the hunger, the relentless passion every single one of them brought. You could feel it in every tackle, every pass, every goal. It was electric.

Most goals scored. Least goals conceded. Just two slipped past them all weekend. That says everything.
