🐉 Day 1 in Dragonville! 🐉

We were all a wee bit overexcited after our visit to Parliament and arrived at our first lido feeling slightly tired—and more than a little apprehensive!

Parliament Hill is a stunning 60-metre pool on Hampstead Heath. Today was our shortest swimming day, with just 2 hours and 45 minutes to get the business done… no pressure then! 😅

I think the nerves kicked in this afternoon, along with the sudden realisation that we’ll be swimming A LOT over the next 14 days!

But then you remind yourself why we’re doing this. In true Velindre fundraising style, we want to raise as much as humanly possible, show cancer the V and help kick this brutal disease into touch.

So the Dragons roared—and got it done! 💪🐉

6km each. 18km in total. What a start!

Tomorrow, it’s Hampstead Ponds and another 6km each. Onwards we march… or possibly waddle! 😂
