DON’T LET IT STOP YOU!
Just because you have a replacement, joint, limb or physical disability.

Do not allow it to stop you and become your excuse. Your limiting factor, for not pushing yourself, harder and further everyday.

Me having fun last weekend at the seminar, being put through my paces by and .mares.coach, great times, with great training.

So the next time you’re trying to think of bad excuses, why not to go to the gym, then don’t! Don’t think about it, just grab your bag, put one foot in front of the other and go to the gym and make yourself proud!

Most people don’t lose progress because they lack discipline. They lose it because extreme dieting teaches the body to defend itself.

Each crash diet can leave metabolism a little more resistant to change, and regain a little more likely.

It’s not about eating less again.

It’s about giving your body consistency instead of repeated extremes.

That’s often what allows real, lasting progress to finally stick.

If this sounds like your history, ask yourself:

How many crash diets have you actually been through?

What would a more sustainable approach look like for you?

ARE YOU SHORT OF TRAINING TIME?
Training opposing muscle groups (like chest/back or biceps/triceps) in the same workout, often alternating sets, is called an antagonist superset. This is sometimes referred to more broadly as agonist-antagonist training.

How it works:
* You pick two exercises targeting opposing muscle groups (e.g., bench press + bent-over row)
* You perform them back-to-back with minimal rest between

Why people use it:
* Saves time — one muscle rests while the other works
* The opposing muscle’s contraction can actually help it recover faster (reciprocal inhibition)
* Keeps workouts efficient without sacrificing volume

Common pairings: chest/back, biceps/triceps, quads/hamstrings, abs/lower back.

So if you’re short of time, try this method for a very time efficient and effective training session.

Like and share with your gym and training buddies.

IT’S A TRICEP EXERCISE, NOT A FULL BODY!
During training, you need to create stability, no matter what the exercise is!

Getting yourself tight, on all exercises, will enable you to produce more force through your target muscles! Drastically increasing your ability to isolate your target muscle or body part.

By doing this, it will give you a bigger bang for your bucks, from the time you invest in the gym.

IS THIS YOU?
Most people don’t have a training problem. They have a 23-hour problem.

One good session a day can’t undo hours of sitting at a desk, in a car, and on the sofa.

It’s not about training harder.

It’s about closing the activity gap in the rest of your day.

That’s often what makes the difference between progress and a plateau, without changing your training at all.

If you’re consistent in the gym but stuck on results, ask yourself:

How much are you actually moving outside your workout?

What’s one small change that could add movement to your day?

ARE YOU TRAINING HARD OR TURNING UP?
Most people don’t have a consistency problem. They have an intensity problem.

Turning up isn’t the same as training hard.

When effort stays low, so does progress, no matter how many sessions you complete.

It’s not about training longer.

It’s about making the time you already spend training actually count.

If you’re currently training and not seeing results, ask yourself:

How close to failure are you actually training?

Would pushing yourself harder, change your results?

A bit of leg training coming back after a lingering issue with my right hamstring and glutes!

1 . Now that I’m trying to build up the strength in my hamstrings again! Which has always been a challenge due to the limited range of motion in my Double, Bilateral Total Knee replacements. The lying hamstring curl is perfect for isolating the hamstrings in a shortened position.

2. Followed by a very much over looked muscle in men, that being the glutes, using the glute drive! Something, that is often laughed over by egotistical males, thinking it’s a girls thing! Absolutely NOT, they are a very important part of a STRONG, well developed posterior chain! So, to the ladies keep up the hard work, and to the men, drop the ego and “Get on it”!

3. The Bad Boy of the Gym leg room, the Pendulum Squat!! A real killer of a machine, but fantastic for allowing you to go through a full range of motion loaded squat, with maximal support. FANTASTIC!

4. Glute and Hamstring dominant RDL’s, using a short bar on the belt squat machine. This is perfect for allowing you to move through a fixed plane of motion, to allow you to really hammer the glutes and hamstrings, using a hinged movement.

A few other exercises done to supplement my training, but I will save that for a different day.

IS A LACK OF MEAL PREPARATION, MAKING YOU FAIL?
Most people don’t struggle with knowing what to eat. They struggle with not having it ready.

When there’s no plan, convenience wins, decisions get harder, and intake becomes inconsistent.

It’s not about willpower.

It’s about removing the decision before you’re too busy or too hungry to make a good one.

That’s why a little prep goes a long way, without changing anything else in your routine.

If you’re currently working on your nutrition, ask yourself:

How much of your week is actually planned?

Would having food ready change your choices?
