Let’s give a warm welcome to our new hiphop dance teacher Shannon who will be teaching our wednesday classes from October ✨🫶🏼 How exciting!

Let’s hear her story!

A Little About Me 💃✨

I started dancing at the age of 9 and absolutely fell in love with it from the very beginning. Now, at 30 years old, dance has been a huge part of my life for over two decades, and I’m so excited to be returning to teaching after taking some time away.

I spent four years working alongside a variety of experienced teachers, gaining my assistant teaching qualification before progressing to become an Associate Teacher and eventually a Licentiate Teacher in Jazz and Contemporary.

I then furthered my training at Bridgend College, studying Musical Theatre, where I graduated with Triple Distinction Stars and received various offers from different dance schools.

I have also previously owned and run my own dance school, which I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, I made the decision to close the school while working a full-time job alongside it, but I continued teaching for other dance schools and studios.

In December 2024, I welcomed my baby, so I decided to take two years away from teaching to enjoy this special chapter of motherhood. Now, I’m finally ready to get back to doing what I love, and I genuinely cannot wait to meet everyone and get dancing again! 🥰

I love teaching a wide range of styles, including Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Commercial, and my biggest passion is helping dancers build confidence, have fun and fall in love with dance just as much as I did.

I’m SO excited to be back - and I can’t wait to see you all in class! 💗

A huge congratulations to all of our amazing dancers who had the incredible opportunity to take part in Bring It On Beyond Broadway Experience!

As teachers, we couldn’t be prouder watching our dancers step out onto a profession production, work so hard and perform with such confidence and passion.

What an amazing experience and such a fantastic opportunity for them to learn, grow and perform alongside an incredible cast.

You all absolutely smashed it! We are so proud to call you our dancers and even prouder of everything you continue to achieve!

A huge thank you to the Taff Ely Windfarm Scheme Interlink RCT for their incredibly kind donation of our new dance mat. Your generosity means so much to our dancers and will make a real difference to their training for years to come. 💛

A special thank you also to Richard and Brynna Community Centre for making this happen and securing the funding for us. We truly appreciate all of your support and everything you’ve done for our dance school.

🏆🎉🌍💃An unforgettable WDM World Championships 2026 💃🌍🎉🏆

Now that the excitement has settled, I’ve finally had a chance to reflect on everything our incredible team achieved this weekend!

Every single dancer who stepped onto that dance floor should be unbelievably proud. The dedication, determination and countless hours of hard work you’ve all put in throughout the year were on full display, and watching you represent our school at worlds was something I’ll never forget.

Competing against dancers from across 29 different countries is an achievement in itself, but to see so many of you perform with such confidence, passion and heart made us very proud teachers. Whether you came home with a title, a medal, made your final, or simply gave the performance you’d worked so hard for, every single one of you was a success.

I’m equally proud of every dancer who walked onto that floor, supported one another, and represented Emma Louise School of Dance with kindness, professionalism and pride.

A huge thank you to our amazing dance families. Thank you for every early morning, late night, costume change, rehearsal, lift to training and endless support. None of this would be possible without you.

Watching the friendships grow, the confidence shine through and the memories you all made is what this journey is really about.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your dance journey. Being your teachers are a privilege, and moments like this remind us exactly why we love what we do.

Now… time to recover before we do it all again next year! 🌍✨🖤💛

🏆💃🌍 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 🌍💃🏆

Day one complete! What a day we had, our girls have started with a bang - some of them competing in categories with over 35 girls in. Don’t know how the judges will get it down to 7 in a final by Sunday! Crazy scenes!

We had a lovely busy evening last night welcoming a whole load of new members for our summer enrolment! What an exciting and fun time we had!

🌏🏅🏆 WORLDS COUNTDOWN 🏆🏅🌍

Our final week of training is here before we head off to the WDM World Championships 2026! ✈️🌍

This weekend our dancers completed their final training session with Judge Jen, finishing the season on such a high and feeling ready for the biggest stage of the year!

A huge thank you to Stevenson Jen for your incredible commitment. Week after week you have travelled to train our dancers, sharing your knowledge, experience and passion, and giving them the amazing opportunity to learn from one of the very best. The standard you have helped them achieve has been invaluable, and we are so grateful for everything you have invested in our team.

We hope we make you proud as we step onto that world stage and showcase everything you have taught us.

A very special thank you also to Miss Laura, whose ongoing support, encouragement and dedication have been just as important. Laura works so closely alongside Jen, reinforcing every correction, every technique and every lesson, ensuring the dancers remain consistent and continue to grow between training sessions. The teamwork between you both has given our dancers the best possible preparation, and we are incredibly lucky to have you both in our corner.

Now it’s time for one final week of hard work before we represent our school and our country at the World Championships.
