Final shift done. β
Today I coached my last fitness class at the gym.
A huge thank you to everyone who has joined my sessions since October. It's been an absolute pleasure to coach you, watch your progress, and share plenty of laughs along the way.
The energy, effort, and commitment you've brought to class each week has continually pushed me to deliver the best sessions I possibly could. Knowing that you'd be walking through the door ready to work hard always motivated me to raise my game and bring quality to every class.
I've also been lucky to work alongside a brilliant team during that time. Thank you to all of the coaches and staff who have made the gym such a positive place to work.
The good news is I'm not going anywhere! I'll still be around as a full-time Personal Trainer, helping people move more, get stronger, and feel confident in what their bodies can do.
Thank you as well to everyone who shared kind words, messages and good wishes during my final classes this week. They genuinely meant a lot.
For now, here's a few of my favourite memories from the last few months, along with several pieces of photographic evidence that, despite all this time, I still can't take a decent post-class selfie π
I'm excited to see what this next move for me brings.
Thank you for making this such an enjoyable chapter. ππ

Congrats to .willy on being our April Mover of the Month! β¨
From the start Nadia has pushed herself to lift heavy and follow good form. But this month saw Nad really step up her commitment to her programme, getting into the gym more regularly with confidence to move solo.
She also recognised that there were occasions her energy levels impacted on which weights she could lift so suggested we add a 'lighter' session to her plan for those days where her energy levels might be lower but wants to keep in her routine of getting to the gym and confidence high.
It is not only her drive to keep moving even when work, family and social life is busy that impresses me, but her honesty with herself about what is actually achievable and realistic for her within her week and how she can adapt to keep moving in a way that serves her.
Congrats Nadia and keep up the awesome work πͺπΌπ₯

Life off the gym floor lately = balls & bands
SWIPE to see where I got some inspo for this morning's BURN class (if you know you know)
My favourite ways to bring playful movement into each week - music & sport
And if we can make the sideline laugh or audience dance, it's a big win ππΌβ¨

ππΌ March's Mover of the Month ππΌ
Congrats π
Emily joined Pure Gym and started working with me to build confidence in the gym with the longer term goal of getting stronger and building fitness. Since then she has been a regular at classes and I love how she always makes others feel welcome by pairing up or chatting with others beforehand.
In March, I noticed Em really locked in with her workouts, she was in the gym more frequently, waving and smiling across the gym floor, increasing the weights at our PT sessions. And dare I say it, she started enjoying her intervals on the treadmill! (even if she couldn't believe the speed she was capable of when the machine was set to mph instead of kph)
She's come a long way from our first few reps on the runner and I predict the next few months will see her go from strength to strength as we progress her training further!
Keep up the good work Em βοΈπͺπΌππΌββοΈ

March saw our very first Mover's Community Event and Class!
We timed it perfectly with the weather for our first social at Bryngarw Park βοΈ
Then followed it up with our very first Sunday SWEAT π
It's been a pleasure working with these hard working women 1:1 and look forward to building strong connections between committed individuals so that we can spur one another on to keep moving towards our goals πͺπΌ
Let's make April another great month gang ππΌ

π Mover of the Month - Katie Sheppard π
Congratulations to our wonderful Mover, Katie.
Katie is a super busy woman who works long hours helping others, volunteers and has been studying alongside work and working out π
I'm exhausted just typing it!
She always comes into our sessions with a bright smile, even though it's an early morning slot. She's unafraid to try new moves and loves planning her nutrition in a way that serves her taste as well as her goals.
Our past two sessions in particular, she has pushed herself to lift heavy and has secretly fallen in love with our cardio based finishers.
I see Katie frequently between our 1:1 sessions working hard in the gym with her friend who she's also been teaching some new moves to. Sharing my love of movement is what makes my role so rewarding and knowing Katie is leading by example with her loved ones, I'm sure she feels similarly.
This month was by no means perfect for Katie, and it was her resilience in her harder moments that stood out to me and is why she's our February Mover of the Month!
Congrats gal πππΌ

Chuffed to be sponsor of new away kit! ππ
Playing in this kit yesterday was a super special moment for me because, it was the encouragement from this group of ladies that gave me the confidence I needed to go for it as a PT. Something I had daydreamed about for years but hadn't taken action on.
Empowering women to go for it and make the moves that are right for them is what we are all about! In our first two years this incredible bunch have made a number of career moves, started businesses, extended their families, overcame injuries, and navigated heartache. All while chasing down back-to-back promotions. I couldn't be prouder to call them my family.
Swipe to see me proud as punch next to my Cadrawd house captain (and fellow sponsor) who picked me for my first competitive sprint in sports day back in primary schoolπͺπΌ

Say hello to our very first Mover of the Month for Jan 2026, Helen D**e!
Helen started moving with me back in November with the goal of building confidence and strengthening her knees for her Christmas ski trip.
We started off working together twice a week in the gym to learn movement patterns and build her confidence in the space. All while ensuring sessions focused on strengthening the glutes, hamstrings and core to support her already pretty strong quads.
What impressed me most about Helen was her drive to improve strength week to week. She wasn't afraid to lift heavy (which many women do still fear) and was clearly motivated to see what her body was capable of.
Fast forward to 2026, following a pain-free ski trip and we're continuing to work together each week and she's bossing her weekly solo sessions ππΌ
Helen has been consistent since November, turning up for herself, whether that's in the gym with me, flying solo, at our Friday morning Strength class, doing the Park Run or completing her "on the go" circuits when she's travelling or had a busy week.
It is her drive to better herself weekly that has meant she's been selected as our very first Mover of the Month.
I'm so impressed and excited to see what Helen achieves next πͺπΌππ
