Magpies are a Mixed Touch Rugby team, who will be taking part in competitions and friendly matches though the summer, fun and fitness being the main focus, with like minded people, we are looking for interest now, in preparation for the upcoming season.

Our men’s vets team played in the knights tournament last night
Started against a well drilled strollers team who ran in 4 quick try’s against us well done to them who won the cup overall
4-0
Then on the Maesteg Celtic crusaders were we started to gel a bit better and work though the phases well but crusaders coming out on top 3-0
Maesteg quins we seem to hold our own for most of the game but couldn’t seem to get over the try line, we switched off for a couple of seconds let them in for the only try of the game
1-0
It was brilliant experience and a learning curve being part of a well organised tournament thank you to everyone involved and making it happen
On to next with game with our men’s vets and women’s both playing at home
