Simon is currently floating somewhere in the stratosphere after a thrilling 3-2 victory. Legend has it his high-five is still echoing around the pitch. 10/10 for the enthusiasm, Simon! 🚀

✨ Graham Linnard (6 Shades of Grey)
On the other side of the emotional spectrum, we have Graham. Look, a 1-5 loss sting, but Graham took it like an absolute champ. Even the little dragon on his shoulder is looking a bit grumpy about it, but a Player of the Match performance is a performance to be proud of! 🐉🏼

Proof that whether you win or lose, you can still walk away with the silverware (or in this case, a giant shiny star).

Rhys didn't just play this week; he hosted a masterclass in absolute refusal. Rumor has it the opposition are still trying to figure out how to get past him. Rhys covered so much ground that the local council is looking into taxing him for occupying multiple postcodes at once. If you needed a ball intercepted, a counter-attack neutralized, or just someone to look intensely focused while doing it, Rhys was your man. A performance so solid it should come with its own building permit.

**Awarded for: Defying the Laws of Physics (and Stamina)**

Mark put the "Athletic" in *Almost Athletic* this week—and honestly, there was no "almost" about it. He was moving at a pace that suggested he either forgot to turn his oven off at home or he’s secretly sponsored by an energy drink company. Leaving defenders in a state of existential dread, Mark was everywhere at once. He controlled the game with the kind of confidence usually reserved for people who actually know what they’re doing. An absolute shift.

Tonight’s Players of the Match go to Dale Evans from Real Ale Madrid and Brian Girdwood from 6 Shades of Grey 🍻⚽

Dale was everywhere — chasing down every ball, pulling off silky passes and somehow still having enough energy left for the post-match pint! A proper engine in midfield with enough banter to keep both benches entertained.

Brian rolled back the years with a classy performance full of composure, clever touches and experience. Calm on the ball, sharp in the tackle and reading the game like he’d already seen the script before kickoff!

Two top performances, plenty of laughs and another cracking night of walking football 👏

🔥 Almost Athletic nicked a cracking 3-2 win over 6 Shades of Grey in a match tighter than a pair of old football shorts. End-to-end stuff with both teams going for it right until the final whistle.

🍺 Real Ale Madrid were clearly in no mood for sharing points, putting on a ruthless display to beat Cirque Du Sore Legs 7-1. Passing flowed, goals flew in, and confidence levels are now dangerously high heading into next week.
