Results of today’s Willow Valley Flyer, thank you to all the volunteers, thank you also to the Sowerby Bridge Snails for the loan of some vital equipment and for turning up in droves.

Well done to all the runners and especially to the first lady and gent, that household now has sufficient alcohol to maintain a good level of hangover for some time 👍

Welcome - Brighouse Bumble Bees Brighouse Bumble Bees were formed in 2018. Since then we’ve grown from being a couple of people going for a run on a weekday evening to a fully fledged group of running lovers.

1st May 2022, tickets on sale soon!

Just as a “ps” to our last announcement about the fundraising we achieved for Overgate Hospice, the Willow Valley Golf Club have been in touch and have offered to top up our figure to make it £1000.00!

Thank you Willow Valley Golf Club and thanks again to all of you for your support.

We have had a couple of technical issues in getting some of the tees and medals out to you all, hopefully things will be resolved soon 👍

We had 122 entries in total, not all have posted results. With the entry fees, additional donations made at booking stage, donations made during runs and ones transferred directly to us, we have raised just over £850.00 for Overgate Hospice!

Thank you all, we will be back next year, hopefully just for the one day 🏃‍♀️🏃👍

RaceBest Results for Willow Valley Flyer. 7.5 miles of road, bridleway & footpath

We’re in the process of pulling together the results for all of you Flying lot that completed our little virtual in May.

Thanks to everyone that ran, walked or hobbled around the course, some going that extra mile 😉.

We note that a few of you are being shy about your results, please don’t be, let’s get them uploaded! You can always look at a quicker Segment time sometime in the future, that segment isn’t going anywhere.

But don’t forget to start and finish at the cafe 👍

Well, what a lovely weekend to run the Flyer.

The mud is solidifying nicely and the signs around the golf course will be there until Monday evening.

If you haven’t booked yet then it’s not too late, just head for the Racebest website, we’re the last entry in May 👍🏃‍♀️🏃

One of the two small groups that headed out mid morning to loop the Flyer, well done everyone the sun came out and made for a much more pleasant affair than the weather forecast predicted.

Just two weekends left of the Willow Valley Flyer month, well done to all of you that have taken part so far, commiserations to those that have struggled with self navigation and good luck to those of you still to take the plunge.

I notice that the men’s best time for the segment has been taken by a certain Mr Sales with a Bumble Bees member close behind, the ladies by a Bumble Bees Club Member with a Dewsbury Road Runner close behind.

We have quite a few going out this weekend, including a group of Go Be Runners departing at 10.00am Sunday, I will be at the cafe as official Keeper of the Tees to distribute them accordingly.

Any one running (Flying) out this weekend, keep us informed of the time and day and we will attempt to provide support, probably moral support and from the garden of a pub, but support all the same 👍

It’s not too late to sign up, or attempt a second flying lap, whatever you’re doing enjoy yourselves and keep running 🏃‍♀️🏃

Run the course during the month of May, upload your results and we’ll send you your technical tee and medal, we will also give a guaranteed £3.00 per entry directly to Overgate Hospice.

Your results will be collated and available to view via the Racebest platform.

Our Willow Valley Flyer didn’t go ahead last year due to Covid, however it will definitely go ahead in 2021.

Run the course during the month of May, in your own time and at your own pace, upload your results and we’ll send you your Technical Tee and medal and of course we’ll donate to Overgate Hospice 👍
