Vitamin B5 is needed by the cells for Coenzyme A which is essential for hundreds of metabolic reactions, especially energy from food substrate.

Metabolism of carbs, fats and proteins all rely on CoA and of which CoA is important in the synthesis of cholesterol, ketone bodies and fatty acids.

There is no known upper tolerable intake, however, high doses may cause diarrhea.

Alcohol, diabetes mellitus and irritable bowel syndrome can all negatively affect B5

300mg of B5 three times a day can be a great strategy for stressed individuals as Stress depletes B5
