Most people aren’t getting results in the gym because nobody ever showed them the basics properly; and the Romanian Deadlift is a perfect example.
It’s one of the best exercises for building strong hamstrings and posterior chain. But if you’ve ever finished a set and felt it mostly in your lower back or quads, the movement isn’t doing its job.
Two reasons this usually happens:
Rounding through the back pulls load away from your legs and dumps it straight onto your spine. Feels like hard work, delivers the wrong results.
Bending the knees too much turns a hinge into a squat and you’ve lost the tension through the hamstrings entirely. Same exercise, different stimulus.
This is exactly why coaching matters. Small technical cues, applied at the right moment, completely change what an exercise does for your body.

Karishma is 48.
She had a hip replacement in her 20s, never got the right help to rehab it, and has spent years working around pain that nobody properly addressed.
She’d also never really been a gym person.
Not because she didn’t want to be, but because she never knew where to start or felt like it was a space built for her.
That changed in January.
Now she’s training on a programme designed around her body, her history, and what she actually needs.
The weaker leg. The hip. All of it.
Finally being worked on properly.
And somewhere along the way, the early alarms stopped feeling like a punishment.
