The final result from yesterdays home fixture against londonfootgolf

Our final fixture of the 2026 season saw brighton put on a good show, taking points from the stroke play event, with Svetozar Popov and Sy Gander taking 2nd and 3rd in the absolute, Sy Gander and Mark Nicholson taking full points in the senior category, Svetozar Popov securing victory in the Rookie category, Liz David secured full points from the women’s category and finally our debutant Junior Baylay claimed the points in his category. This gave Brighton a 14-7 lead going into the Matchplay.

The final match play fixtures finished:

Brighton’s Jono Whitlock tied with London’s Aaron Lansiquot in the Singles to share 1pt each.

Brighton’s Josh Paton & Mark Nicholson lost to London’s Ali Janjua & Peter Robert’s 2&1 in the foursomes, meaning London took 6pts.

Brighton’s Svetozar Popov & Sy Gander beat London’s Roy Roberts & Paul Francis 3&2 to take the 4pts in the Betterball match.

A fantastic final day win to secure the league title at home. Thank you to those from London that made the journey down to Brighton.

Today is the final fixture of the 2026 season. It sees us come up against London Footgolf to decide this year’s South East Division Champions. We will compete across all categories so maximum points is up for grabs. It felt fitting to have Team Manager Mark George (pictured) looking over the last squad of the 2026 season.

Brighton finally beat Gatwick 🎉

It’s been a long time coming and today was finally the day.
Brighton get a well deserved victory over Gatwick on their turf.
This isn’t just a victory for the 5 players who scored and played outstanding matchplay.
This is a victory for each and every player in our club to savour.
The morale and camaraderie within our group of players is by far our greatest strength, and the envy of many of the footgolf clubs up and down the country.

No matter how any individual plays or performs, it’s the unity of the group that enables improvement and development.

Today was the reward for that.

This weekend sees us take a break from league action to take part in the South East Club Cup. The teams will battle it out first of all in a stroke play event to decide where the 6 teams place in a league format. The top 2 teams will earn themselves a semi final place in the Matchplay event to follow. The remaining 4 teams will play a quarter final match to find the remaining 2 teams for the semi final. A final will then take place to determine the overall winner of this year’s South East Cup.

INTERNATIONAL DUTY 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️⛳️

Congratulations to our 3 Brighton players who will go on International duty this weekend to represent England in a 4 Nations competition against Ireland, Scotland and this year’s host nation Wales. The event takes place over Saturday and Sunday where the 4 nations will go head to head in a matchplay format to determine the champion nation. Both Josh and Rich were part of the England team who won the competition for the first time 2 years ago. Good luck to our 3 representatives from Brighton and the rest of the England team this weekend!
