There are just under 4 hours left in the voting for the Students Union election!

Regardless of who you support, remember to vote. It gives you a say in how the union is run and makes it better for everyone!

There are 12 positions to vote for, and don't forget to get your friends, housemates, course friends and anyone else you know at Sussex to vote as well!

More Activities for Students!

• Work to set up a student cinema on campus. Other universities have the capability to show films on campus, why not us?

• Look into getting bigger nights on campus back. Other universities have gigs, events and large socials that bring together students from across the university, Sussex has the capacity, let’s make the most of it!

Education!

• Increase SU engagement with STEM students.

• Work to increase representation for International Students in the SU, as these are a large group at Sussex that currently aren’t well represented.

Union!

• Work on a charter for the Badger to enshrine its freedom to print stories. The Badger is currently funded by the Students Union, however this shouldn’t allow them to censor what it prints.

• Expand the role of the union shop to offset the high prices students are forced to pay in the Coop currently.

• An apolitical students union. I will campaign for a Students Union that works outside politics, focused on what is best for the students.

Food & Drink!

• Campaign for the university to open up catering facilities to increase competition on campus. Allowing local businesses in from Brighton to open shops/stalls would allow for greater variety, lower prices and greater employment for students.

• Cheaper alcohol on campus!
