Dismay as council pulls plug on funding Kingsdown Sports Centre It is hoped another organisation will take on running the sports centre
At yesterday's Cabinet meeting, Mayor Rees decided to approve the council's new Leisure Investment Strategy. This means, from March 2023, the council will no longer financially support Kingsdown Sports Centre.
Interested parties are being asked to tender for proposals to develop the site, which we hope will secure and enhance sporting facilities.
We'll be working closely with the Mayor and the council to help secure the best viable outcome for our community. Please help support your community with this difficult task over the next year.
Thank you.
