πΎ Fantastic results for Redland Green Clubβs junior players at the Bridgwater Grade 4 tournament! πΎ
A huge well done to Cara Ward and Holly Thompson, who both impressed in the 11U eventβcompeting a year above their age group. The final saw Holly edge out Cara in a closely contested match, showcasing great determination and sportsmanship from both players. π
More success came from Josh Martin, who claimed the 14U Grade 4 titleβalso playing up an age group! πͺ
Brilliant performances all round and a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our young players. Keep it going! π

π Redland squash juniors bring home silver medals! π₯
We're exceptionally proud of Abigail Zeng, Holly Thompson, Alice Bailey, Rose Williams, and Emily Pendrell, who represented Avon at U11 and U19 at the national intercounty finals last weekend in Sheffield. Both teams came 2nd! π₯ For all the girls, this was their second year reaching the finalsβvery impressive for our small county! π
The GU11 narrowly lost to Surrey in the 1st place playoff, with the GU19 in with a shot at gold π₯ until results elsewhere ended their chances.
Confident squash from all, with Alice getting her first finals win π and Rose playing well above her level πͺ to take 1 win and a lot of points against her Yorkshire opponent. Emily and Abi were unbeaten π₯, and Holly handled the pressure well, having to play the deciding match of all the ties. π₯
Emily and Rose have represented Avon at all age groups and fully deserved their medals π₯. For Abigail, Holly, and Alice, we are very excited for the rest of their county journey π.
