Tonight sees Paul hughes, Dan beames,Marshall Simpson and Jack reed play in the Somerset 4s against Bath at Knowle!

And Paul hughes and Kelly Bell starts their City and County pairs against a pair from Begbrook at Knowle.

Also the Knowle ladies is traveling to Bristol for their league match!

Congratulations to Knowle players Oakley Trent for winning the Mixed pairs with Jenna Scott. Also another congratulations to new Knowle member John Slinn for winning the Novice and unwon singles at the Bristol indoor finals this weekend.

This season the SBA Comps Team have decided to replace the "Club Hon Secs Comp" with a new "Club Officials Trophy" competition. This new competition will be open to all Club Officials and volunteers who freely contribute their time and effort to ensure that our affiliated Clubs are managed and maintained to provide the facilities for all our members to play the sport of bowls in our County of Somerset. Entries can be made through the SBA Comps Portal. Contact the SBA Comps Sec if you require any further information.

Last season our men’s captain chose Ageuk to be our sponsored charity. The below picture shows Ladies Captain presenting a cheque to a representative of Ageuk Bristol.

Knowle 2025 Presentation Evening! 🎉

McMillan Coffee Morning Friday 26th September 2025 from 10am

Today saw the end of finals day with more champions being crowned. Congratulations to everyone who taken part and a massive thank you to the competitions committee for their hard work for yet again another successful season.

FINALS DAY

Yesterday saw the first action of the Knowle finals.

After a crazy morning of thunder and lightning the 2pm start was met with sunshine and a little wind!

Firstly congratulations to Jack Reed winner of the Appleby singles! Commiserations to Martin Jenkins runner up of the Appleby

Secondly congratulations to Arlene Powell who for the first time becomes Knowle’s ladies champion! Commiserations to Mabel Hahner who is runner up of the ladies championship.

The lastly massive congratulations to Dan Beames who for the first time becomes the Mens champion! Commiserations to Marshall who I’m sure will make it to the final again someday

Congrats to all the winners so far and good luck to Dan and Arlene who will represent the club in the Champion of Champions next season!

Congratulations to Knowle Ladies member Ali Spragg for making it to the Somerset ladies Beginner singles Finals after defeating her opponent 21-6!

The final will be played at 5pm today at Winscombe!
