Time To Reflect
By .enticott
2025 — the Year of the Snake — a year symbolised by shedding, renewal, and transformation in the Chinese zodiac. The Lunar New Year reminds us that growth isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes, it’s quiet and internal. There is a gentle release of what no longer fits.
A lot can happen in a year, more than you could ever imagine, visualise, or plan for. Wins you didn’t expect. Lessons you didn’t choose. Versions of yourself you’ve already outgrown.
While there’s so much value in looking ahead at all the possibilities a new year brings, there’s also something powerful about pausing before you move on. Like the snake shedding its skin, take a moment to reflect on 2025, to close the chapter with gratitude, and to consciously decide what you’re ready to leave behind.
Before stepping into 2026, here are a few simple ways to reflect on the year that’s been.

Tis The Season
By .enticott
Christmas is a time of year I often struggle with. I tend to get caught up in the excitement and chaos, only to find myself underwhelmed and burnt out before the season has even properly begun. This year, I had fully convinced myself that I finally had it all figured out—that I wasn’t going to let the stress of it all get in the way of having a good time.
For many of us, Christmas comes with a huge sense of expectation. Through advertising, social media, and even the pressure of those around us, it can feel like we’re supposed to be having the best time— even if, deep down, that’s not how we’re really feeling. I think Christmas holds so much importance to me because it represents togetherness and family—two values I hold close to my heart.
This is typically the time when goals get pushed aside, routines slip, or the overwhelm becomes too much to keep up with the never-ending to-do list. And while you absolutely don’t have to maintain perfect habits during the festive period, a lot of people find themselves starting January 1st feeling like they’re climbing out of a slump.
Here are a few tips to help you manage those feelings and support yourself as you move through this busy, festive season:

The Positive Loop
By .enticott
So what exactly is the Positive Loop?
It’s a simple but powerful cycle: when you make one small decision that supports your wellbeing, it creates a positive effect — mentally, physically, or emotionally. That boost then makes it easier (and more motivating) to make another good decision. Over time, those tiny wins compound into sustainable, life-enhancing change.
Think about it — have you ever made one small choice, like drinking a glass of water, going for a short walk, or finally saying no to something draining, and then noticed how it made the rest of your day flow better? That’s the Positive Loop in action: one aligned action fueling the next, creating upward momentum that actually lasts.
Unlike the pressure to overhaul everything overnight, the Positive Loop is about stacking small, feel-good wins that reinforce each other without the guilt, no burnout, just moving in a forward flow.
It’s a mindset and technique I use with my clients to help them shift focus from what’s going wrong to what they can control — and in that shift, everything begins to change.
So let’s break down how it works…

Strength With Soul
By .enticott
I started this blog back in 2022 with all the ambition in the world and absolutely no idea where it was going to end up. Fast forward almost 4 years, and I am beyond excited to share that I’ve officially partnered with Free Soul through their affiliate programme!
If you know me or have followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m really selective about the brands I align with, and this one feels like such a natural fit.
In fact, Free Soul was introduced to me during one really special moment in my life. When I was planning my hen do, I made “survival kits” for all my guests and thought that the Hydrate Electrolytes would be the perfect hangover cure. It was a three-day event, and they certainly kept me going through the early mornings, ready for the next activity. That personal touch is what makes this partnership extra meaningful to me.
Free Soul is a women’s wellness brand on a mission to create products that genuinely support women’s health, energy, and performance. Their ethos goes beyond just nutrition—they champion balance, strength, and empowerment in everyday life in the same way this has become my mission with ENTI. Everything they produce is designed with women in mind, from their thoughtful formulations to their community-first approach.
As part of this partnership, I get to share an exclusive discount with you! Use ENTIFITNESS at checkout to save 15% on your Free Soul favourites.
I wanted to share a few words and honest thoughts on some of my favourite products:

Rest, reset, recharge
By .enticott
Rest is a term that gets thrown around, but for many, finding time to rest can feel like an unattainable goal in the chaos of everyday life.
In a world that glorifies being busy and constantly being on, slowing down can feel like falling behind. But the truth is, our bodies, minds, and hormones aren’t designed for nonstop output. Especially for women, rest isn’t a luxury; it’s a non-negotiable foundation for health, balance, and longevity. For a long time I believed, as I’m sure many of us do, that rest equates to weakness, but what I have learnt is that embracing the rhythm of rest, reset, and recharge can support your energy, your cycle, and your ability to show up fully not just once in a while but consistently and sustainably.
This phrase, rest, reset and recharge, emphasises the importance of taking time for recovery and rejuvenation. I encourage you to step away from your daily demands to allow for physical and mental restoration, followed by engaging in activities that restore your energy and purpose. This can be applied to various aspects of life, from work to personal well-being.
These three concepts might sound like the same thing, but they each serve a distinct purpose in replenishing your energy and restoring your sense of self. Let’s explore how they work together to support your health and purpose.

A good night’s sleep is essential for physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Sleep schedules differ for everyone, with some naturally preferring to go to bed early and others preferring to stay up late. In everyday terms, people who tend to stay up late are often referred to as “night owls,” and those who sleep and wake early are called “early birds”.
Since I can remember, I have always wanted to be a morning person or “early bird.” Waking up early is not something that comes naturally to me as I struggle with regular sleep patterns and routines. One night without enough sleep is enough for me to feel out of sync, and afterwards it always feels like I’m playing catch up. I’m sure my family and friends have all the horror stories about what I’m like if my sleep cycle is disrupted or I haven’t had enough hours.
A person’s sleep schedule preference is closely tied to their circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are the physical, mental, and behavioural changes an organism experiences over a 24-hour cycle. Light and dark have the biggest influence on circadian rhythms, but food intake, stress, physical activity, social environment, and temperature also affect them. Since circadian rhythms are influenced by light exposure, meal timing, and exercise, these are all factors that can be used to naturally shift your sleep schedules.
Staying up too late could cause a person to accumulate a sleep debt, which grows if lost sleep accumulates over time.

“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have the safest way to health.”
So how much is the ‘right’ amount?
In an age where we are still being brainwashed by fad diets and the newest era of health and wellness trends, the one thing that clients struggle with most is knowing what to eat, when to eat it and how much they can eat. Unfortunately, there isn’t a right answer. I don’t have a magic recipe or cheat sheet I can provide because there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution as every individual is different and we all have specific needs and goals.
However, what I can offer are some tips and advice based on tried and tested techniques that will move you closer to your nutritional goals without making any drastic changes. As with most things in life, consistency is key and to start off we want to make things as easy as possible.

It’s Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to love.
However you choose to spend the day, whether it be with a significant other, friends or with yourself it has become another holiday to celebrate relationships that don’t necessarily have to be romantic. In my opinion, there is no other relationship more important than the one you have with yourself.
Self-love is the best love.
Self-love means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others. Self-love means not settling for less than you deserve. Self-love is the foundation of other successful relationships in your life and for this reason, it is not to be disregarded or unprioritised.
Confession time. I haven’t been taking care of myself and instead have been focusing on putting others’ needs before my own. My reasons for doing this were partially to avoid the guilt of letting others down but mainly to prove to myself that I was able to do all the things I committed to. Unfortunately, this led to burnout as well as physical and emotional distress, something I haven’t had to deal with for a significant amount of time due to practising self-love regularly.
The last few weeks of my life have highlighted to me that I still have some progress to make with my self-love journey but this doesn’t negate everything I have learnt thus far and for that reason, I wanted to share a few of my self-love lessons.

What is a workout split?
How do I know what is the best workout split for me?
Should I even be using a workout split?
Maybe these are some of the questions you’ve been asking yourself now that you are considering taking your training more seriously. If you want to factor in a more consistent routine into your workout schedule but you aren’t sure where to start I’m here to break things down for you.
A workout split is simply a way of dividing your training sessions throughout the week either into different body regions or by specific exercise movements. Typically used in weight lifting but can be effective for bodyweight training as well it is a technique used in a way that optimises results. There is no ‘one size fits all’ for the best workout split as with everything in life what works for one person may not work for another. Factors which may impact your training split depend on your fitness goals, your training age, your schedule and how much time you want to dedicate to the gym.
Here are some examples of the most popular splits I’ve tried and tested…

Leave your ego at the door and it’s you vs you.
The term “ego lifting” refers to the practice of lifting heavier weights than one can handle without proper form. This behavior is often motivated by a desire to impress others or to inflate one’s self-perception of strength and capability.
Ego. We all have one, whether we like to admit it or not. Having an ego doesn’t have to be a negative thing but what is important is how big we let our ego get, and how much we let it affect who we are and the decisions we make. The gym, in particular, is a place where the ego runs rampant if it goes unchecked. The biggest telltale sign of ego lifting is poor form. This displays itself as poor control of the movement and technique. Rushing through reps, swinging other body parts around to generate momentum, and jerking the weight around are all giveaways that the weight may be too heavy.
I’m here to tell you to drop the ego and focus on your form.
Firstly, it minimizes your chances of sustaining an injury and can protect you from straining a muscle or overly stressing a joint. Training should be more than about the heaviest weight you can lift so maybe it’s time to refocus your goals. Secondly, good form means that you efficiently execute the exercise. Fewer reps with proper form can be more effective for developing muscle than more reps with bad form. That means better results for less effort.
