IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Unfortunately, Ludlow Racecourse has taken the difficult decision to abandon the Ludlow Brewery Day on Wednesday 7th October due to the current ground conditions.
Following one of the driest summers on record, the ground is currently too firm. As a free-draining gravel track, the lack of natural rainfall has presented significant challenges. After careful consideration and consultation, we have concluded that the meeting cannot safely go ahead.

Clerk of the Course, Simon Sherwood, said:
"Given the current climate, we have spent the past few weeks hoping for significant rainfall. Unfortunately, we are now at a point where we cannot delay the decision any further. Additional watering would not have sufficiently addressed the conditions, and we have taken expert advice from agronomists throughout the process.
This is not the decision we wanted to take for our first fixture of the season, but I am sure everyone will understand the challenges we face following such a prolonged period of dry weather."

We are pleased to confirm that the Ludlow Brewery Day will be rescheduled for Wednesday 24th February 2027, ensuring that the event can still take place and customers do not miss out.

Refunds will be issued to customers who have purchased tickets for the 7th of October fixture.

Alternatively, if you would like to transfer your existing ticket to another date, please contact the Ludlow Racecourse office from Monday morning, and we will be happy to arrange this for you.
Our grounds team will now continue working towards preparing the course for our next scheduled fixture on Thursday 22nd October, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Ludlow Racecourse.

We’re pleased to announce that Nuffield Health will be using Ludlow Racecourse as a new local home for appointments.

We’re delighted to welcome Nuffield Health to the racecourse and look forward to supporting this partnership, which will help provide the local Ludlow community with access to high-quality, professional healthcare closer to home.

By bringing appointments to Ludlow, we hope to make accessing care more convenient for local residents while reducing the need to travel further afield.
