One of our fellow SACU committee members, Bill Ross, is taking on a fantastic challenge for a very worthwhile cause.
Bill will be taking part in Tour de 4 2026, the cycling event launched by Sir Chris Hoy following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The event brings together people living with Stage 4 cancer, alongside friends, families and supporters, riding side by side to raise vital funds and awareness.
The event is about showing that a diagnosis does not define a person, while highlighting the strength, resilience and determination of those living with Stage 4 cancer.
Bill is raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
If you’re able to support Bill with a donation, or even just by sharing his fundraising page, it would be hugely appreciated. Every contribution helps support people affected by cancer and the vital work carried out by the charities involved.

From all of us on the SACU Committee, we wish Bill the very best for Tour de 4 2026 and hope as many people as possible can get behind him.

Good luck to our Scottish riders competing further afield this weekend.
Jamie Galloway is in Cahors, France for Round 5 of the FIM Trial World Championship, taking on the TrialGP of France. Best of luck Jamie! 🇫🇷🏴
Closer to home, good luck to Archie Bremner, David Edes and Struan Jagla who head to High Roan House, Hurst near Richmond in North Yorkshire tomorrow for the famous Mintex Trophy Trial.
A first Mintex for both David and Struan 👍 A brilliant event and a big challenge for the young riders.
Best of luck to all four and enjoy the weekend! 🏴

📅 SAVE THE DATE – SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER
Loch Lomond are rolling back the years and stepping back into running a Scottish Championship round!
We’re delighted to share that LLMCC will be hosting a Classic Championship Trial at Callander on Sunday 13 September.
We absolutely love this venue and are really pleased to be picking up the reins from Lanarkshire MCC. Callander is a fantastic trials ground and particularly well suited to the classic bikes, so we’d love to see a strong turnout of Pre 65 and Twinshock machinery when entries open.
Modern bikes will also be very welcome, and we’d really appreciate as much support as possible from riders across all classes to help make the return to Callander a great success.
More details and entries coming soon. For now, get the date in the diary! 🏍️🏴
