We’re looking forward to our 2nd league fixture, hosting Mulbarton Wanderers u14 Belles at the Maltings.

As always we love any extra local support, so head down, grab a coffee and bacon roll and enjoy some grassroots football with us!

Our Bungay u14 girls finally got their season underway today and in emphatic fashion too!

It was a complete performance from front to back in a very competitive match with every player digging deep and giving their all for each other but still playing fluid passing football.

3 great goals came from Hallie, Poppy and Ammie, and a clean sheet for our gk Flo who was awarded opposition player of the match.

We simply couldn’t pick our own potm for Bungay as they were all so united in their effort, spirit and performance so our potms are in the photo 💪

We also had some great support on the sidelines which is always fantastic to see, thanks for cheering them on!

Next Saturday we host Mulbarton at home with a 10am kickoff 😊

With last week’s game cancelled, Bungay’s u14 girls look ahead to this Saturday to kick off their league campaign against strong opponents Kirkley and Pakefield Jewel.

Both teams will be looking to take the advantage after their last 3 meetings have ended in a draw!

Bungay u14 girls took to the road for one last preseason friendly today. They squared up against Mulbarton Belles u15s. A team who had a very similar season to Bungay last year on paper although being a year older.

So we knew (hoped) it would be a close battle in preparation for the 26/27 league campaign which kicks off next weekend.

It was a fantastic, hard fought and well mannered match up with both teams sharing periods of possession and attacking phases whilst the other team pressed and absorbed pressure beautifully.

Mulbarton took the lead towards the end of the 1st half after knocking on our defences’s door a few times. They also started the second half brightly looking to build their advantage but Bungay began to counter stronger and put together some great passing movements across the pitch to start breaking the lines and were duly rewarded with a goal when Ammie got on to an early cross and netted the ball into the far bottom corner close to full time.

Catherine took the honours of potm for a very assured and reliable performance at CB. Making crucial tackles to deny goal scoring opportunities and playing the ball out in Bungay’s favour 🏅

Thanks to the Mulbarton hosts and coaches for a cracking game that will have both sets of girls feeling more prepared and ready for the season ahead 💪

Bungay u14 girls are on the lookout for businesses to partner with before the upcoming season gets underway. They are a fantastic group of girls and compete in NWGFL division 1.

Like everything else in life at the moment membership fees have increased for families and the club doesn’t have a kit sponsor for them, so any help in the provision of kit and equipment would be greatly appreciated!!
