"Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed the inaugural Chopwell Gambit last weekend. In the era of mass participation runs, where everyone lines up at the start line, the format of the Gambit is so refreshing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the run, I enjoyed the route which basically allowed all runners to see each other on course. The course was 'interesting' and if the timing/format didn't mess with your mind, the fact the uphills on the way out became downhills on the way in definitely did!"

I'm looking forward to seeing which other routes get the 'Gambit' treatment!"

What a morning that was!

Huge thanks to all runners and volunteers who helped make such a success of the inaugural Chopwell Gambit race 🏃🏼‍♀️

Great spectators sport watching everyone out wait each other at the end! ⌛

Huge thanks again to for supplying beers 🍺and age category glasses for our winners and for his photos and videos of the day which will be our soon 🎥

After months of preparation The Chopwell Gambit is this weekend 😁

Last chance to enter online by midnight tonight. Cash only entries accepted on the day but make sure you get there in time! ⏳

All runners will get their hands on a rather fetching TwistedTrails buff in addition to a Belta Blonde ale supplied by who have also kindly provided a glass for each of the age category winners to drink it from!

Trophy (and glory!) for the overall winners also supplied as well as your chance to say you were there where it all began
