Presentation Evening 🏆

What a fantastic night to end our first season as part of Bury FC. A night full of praise, awards and friendship for the team, backed by the best set of parents & families that the coaches could ask for!

The kids had a fantastic evening, the sweets didn’t last 2 minutes and the pizzas went down a treat 🍬🍕

Thank you to all the parents and families for their support this season, without you guys this just doesn’t happen. For all the early morning KO’s in the rain 90% of the time or the odd game in the sun, first team games, mascot days etc a big thank you. Hopefully the Monday Club in Starkies makes it all worth while!!

The Europa cup final ends in defeat for the young shakers!

After falling 2-0 down inside the 2nd half, an unbelievable strike from Ted into the top corner dragged us back into the game, which was closely followed by his 2nd goal of the game to bring us level. With the last kick of the game Oliver hit the crossbar from a free kick close to the half way line 😫 inches away from winning the game!

Onto the penalty shootout and after 6 penalties each, it finished 3-2 to the opposition. A cruel way to lose a final after such a fight back in the 2nd half! I’m sure the kids will pick themselves up and strive to go one further the next time we get to a final 💪🏼

April player of the month - Elijah 🧤

Our No.1 has been on excellent form all season, consistently pulling off saves that he has no right to. It’s hard to believe he’s only been a GK for 2 seasons! His distribution whether out of his hands or with his feet has been excellent but more importantly, is a pleasure to coach. He takes information on like a sponge and has an excellent attitude towards both training and matches.

Keep up the great work Lij! ⚽️

It ends with another win!

A battling performance today against a strong MSC team again and the kids came out on top. They fought for every ball, worked extremely hard and got their rewards in the final 3rd! We have only had 2 losses since Christmas, which shows just how well the kids have performed since the turn of the year 👏🏼

March player of the month: Noah!

Noah has been excellent this month, playing across the midfield and up front he has caused havoc for the opposition. Flying past players with ease when he’s on the wing, he’s started to make better decisions when going forward which has resulted in an increase in goals and assists for Noah! He has also started to work just as hard when we need to defend, tracking his man and getting stuck in to every challenge to help the team out at both ends of the pitch.
