Are you struggling to get up and go during these cold, dark mornings?

Tackling exercise in the mornings becomes a lot harder the colder and darker they get for most, but hereโ€™s a few things that might help get you going๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿฅฑ Avoid the snooze button - try putting your phone on the other side of the room so that you have to get up and out of bed to turn it off (and donโ€™t sneak back in to bed after!)

๐Ÿ‘ซ Get your session booked in and/or grab a gym buddy - youโ€™re a lot less likely to skip and stay in bed if someoneโ€™s waiting on you or if youโ€™re booked on to a group session

๐Ÿซก Prepare the night before - lay out your clothes ready, have you gym bag packed, maybe even have your breakfast prepped if you know itโ€™s going to be a busy morning before work. Try to make the morning less of a faff (and less to do in the morning # = a little more time in bed!)

๐Ÿ’ค Sleep - we know itโ€™s not always easy to get to bed earlier, but if/when you can, try starting your night-time routine and getting to bed earlier, even if itโ€™s only 20 minutes or so. Itโ€™ll massively help with your energy levels and make the early morning just that little bit easier

๐ŸงฃLayer up and invest in a warm jacket! Itโ€™s a lot easier to step out in to the cold when youโ€™re wrapped up and toasty

Of course thereโ€™s no magic tricks and a little bit of self discipline will come in to play, but make it a little easier for yourself with a few little adjustments ๐Ÿ™

Enjoy moving, learning new skills, making new friends and start getting in to the groove of your new routine. Youโ€™re far more likely to stick to something if you enjoy it!๐Ÿ‘Š

2๏ธโƒฃ Lifestyle
Prioritise your life outside of the gym to ensure your hard work inside the gym pays off. Fuel your body, keep hydrated and try your best to aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Make sure your lifestyle aligns your training ๐Ÿ’ช

3๏ธโƒฃ Consistency and Patience
Building strength, endurance, and overall fitness takes time. Be patient with yourself, results won't happen overnight. Remember that small, consistent steps lead to significant improvements over time ๐Ÿ™

๐ŸซกBonus Tip: Listen to Your Body
Rest days are just as important as workout days. Allow your body time to recover and repair itself to avoid overtraining and burnout ๐Ÿ’ค

Itโ€™s been awesome watching our members progress and build confidence in their snatches over the last few weeks (these were a completely new movement for most) ๐Ÿคฉ

Get ready for fun filled sessions consisting of age-appropriate fundamental movement & skill development activities in form of fun games, movement practice and a little workout.๐Ÿ’ฅ

They will have a holistic focus so there will be physical, social (e.g. team work) and cognitive (e.g. counting reps) skill elements in activities.

These sessions will be coached by Laura - Laura is a bubbly and friendly personality, and she is super passionate about giving children a positive experience with exercise. Her qualifications include a Batchelors degree in PE Sport & Youth Development and is also studying Primary PGCE with PE specialism and has an up-to-date DBS check.

Sessions will be no more than 8 per class, to ensure enough 1-1 coaching and safety of all is maintained.
