Round 2 – Kinsham Raceway – Saturday 7th May 6 hours (afternoon start)
Round 3 – Shenington – 24th – 26th June 24 hours (midday Saturday start)
Round 4 – Blackbushe – Saturday 3rd September Sprints
Round 5 – Blackbushe – Sunday 4th September 100 miles
Round 6 – Curborough Saturday 1st October 150 miles (day / night)

Who ordered the snow?

It’s with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of our Patron HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Thanks to HRH’s passion and commitment, through the DofE, millions of young people have been empowered with the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to make the most out of life and make a difference to the world around them.

The plan for Shenington Weekend 2021 is still to be decided but, assuming all continues to go in the right direction, we will be racing to one of 2 possible event schedules.

This is shown in the attached table so it is either the full 24 hours or it will be seperate races over the 2 days. It all depends on the situation regarding whether we expect our teams to be able to camp on site (particularly the juniors).

A decision will be made on May 20th and communicated as soon as possible after that.

But, for now, we are fully intending that there will be a weekend of pedal car racing at Shenington on June 26th - 27th even if we do not run all the way through the night.

So 5 years ago we were racing at Shrewsbury for the 2016 season opener. This year due to Covid our season opener is delayed but fingers crossed for Kinsham on 8th May https://www.facebook.com/welshborders6hr/

Lots of water has passed under the proverbial bridge in recent weeks with many changes to the country's response to Covid19 with various stages and rule relaxations set provisionally by the UK government.

What does it mean for us? All being well, our Welsh Borders 6hr at Kinsham will become our first race of the 2021 season and thus our first race in earnest since 2019.

Many hours of deliberation, discussion and effort behind the scenes have kept the pedal car fires roaring over the last 18 months and lockdown rules permitting, Kinsham will end our long wait to go racing once more.

Details about the event and how to enter will be firmed up shortly but in the meantime, dust off that chassis, clean up your car, finish off that project and prepare the legs... We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

In the meantime here's a reminder of what we'll soon be able to enjoy once more, racing hard, racing fair and more often than not, on the limit.

We've reached Christmas Eve.
And behind the 24th door we have Trinity Zoomers heading towards the chicane at Blackbushe.

Getting busy in the run up to Christmas so nearly forgot to open door 23.

Here's a car, almost certainly a Geoff Brown Original, still doing a good solid job of work for a PC3 team in the 24 hours.

For PC3 and below simple is often best, much less to go wrong, get in the way, or fall off in an embarasing manner...

The sun is out, the days are now getting longer and it's day 22 of our Advent Calendar.

Amblecote Pedal Car Racing in the complex at Shenington are behind today's door.

It's time to open the 20th door!

For reasons revolving around the need occasionally to count laps manually, we don't have a 20.

So we'll have to go with 4 x 5 = 20 and run with car number 45 from Shenington 2009.

Door 17 had to wait until the end of the day as well but it's worth the wait because BPCC Stalwarts Oddballs are behind it.

We don't have a number 13 here but luckily they do in France.

Possibly 1 of the best pedal car pictures of forever.

Approaching mid-night, driver's eyes out on stalks negotiating one of the trickiest corners on the greatest pedal car circuit in the world* during a double-stint in the 2009 edition of the 24 hours of St Etienne de Chigny.

Our first of the iconic Team 105 cars crossing the timing line during the 2019 event.

On the 10th day of advent we have Royce's 3rd entry - the silver car!

Never write any team off as "just the 3rd car" however, as Porsche proved at le Mans in 2015.

Behind door 9 we have the iconic yellow Royce machine.

One of - if not the - most recognisable cars in the field.

Behind door 8 we have literally half of the field at the inaugural 24 hours of Shenington back in 2008.

We don't (Yet) have a race at this location but just wanted to share this fantastic photo.
