Sometimes the hardest part is just getting started. š©·
I havenāt trained since last Monday. Iāve been away camping, out of routine, itās been hot⦠and Iāve felt really tired.
Yesterday I talked myself out of training.
Today I promised myself I would.
And this is the reminder I needed:
You donāt always have to feel motivated before you move.
Sometimes you move first⦠and the energy, mood and motivation follow.
Iām not training to undo anything.
Iām not training because I feel guilty about having time away.
Iām training because I know how much better I feel when I move.
No punishment.
No āmaking up for itā.
No massive reset.
Just getting back to something that makes me feel good.
What will you do to feel good today? š©·

Why do my joints ache more in menopause? š©·
During perimenopause, this was a HUGE one for me.
Back. Shoulders. Hips. Ankles.
Getting out of bed in the morning was definitely not fun š© and there were days when I genuinely wondered why my body suddenly felt so stiff and old.
Joint aches and reduced mobility arenāt always the first things we associate with perimenopause and menopause ā but for many women, they can be a very real part of it.
In this weekās Sunday Womenās Health, Iām sharing my own experience, why hormonal changes can affect our joints and mobility, and some simple things that can help.
Iāve also included a mobility workout you can try at home. š©·
