M2 starts off HCBC’s 2026 May Bumps campaign with the Getting-On Race today (12/06)! Catch them at 18.30 sending it down the course, and hopefully their performance will wow the crowds enough to ensure an encore next week!

Lent Bumps might have happened weeks ago but that does not stop us from celebrating the amazing work all the crews put into these campaigns. Whether that is present in the results seen on the charts or the hunger and determination that was brought to every start, we couldn’t be prouder of everyone: those that were in crews but also those that subbed into races and into trainings! It takes a community to get these boats to the first cannon. For many this was their first set of bumps, for others another set to add to the collection, but all together it has made us determined and ready to push ourselves heading into Easter term and May Bumps.

Despite not having a functional stroke coach, W1 is ready to fly off at the sound of the cannon on Wednesday to start their campaign. After wrecking the Sidney/Catz back-and-forth relationship of Lents last year, the two disruptors now meet as W1 chases Churchill W1 on day one.

After a successful Getting-On race where they were already able to practice for bumps by overtaking a crew, W2 has never been more ready to climb up Division 4. They already start 2 stations higher than they finished last year (does this mean they only need to bump twice to get blades? No, but that would be fun), looking to revenge bump the revenge bump from Jesus W3 last year on day one.
