Why do you learn Korean words for your grading?

* 🥋 It’s the standard language of Taekwondo — many techniques, stances, commands, and forms have Korean names.
* 🗣️ Instructors use Korean commands during training and gradings, so knowing them helps you understand what you’re being asked to do.
* 📋 You may be expected to know terminology appropriate to your belt level as part of grading requirements.
* 🌏 It connects you with Taekwondo’s Korean heritage and helps keep terminology consistent between clubs and countries.
