St Joseph's Bowls Club - Cardiff

Great way to finish our Cardiff Midweek League season taking all 14 points in our last match against Pentyrch, and 39 points from a possible 42 in our last three matches.

We go away, work hard and come back ready, stronger and better next season 👊🏼

Busy week this week for us all at St Joseph's

Today is the day of our 50th Anniversary celebrations at Llwynfedw Gardens (CF14 4NW).

Past club members will be returning from their various clubs and coming together once again to field teams to play against our current club members.

There will be drinks on sale at the ground from 1430 if you're passing and fancy an excuse to cool yourself down in this heat!!

Another good result for us in the Cardiff Midweek League last night against Mackintosh.

The last rink finished 14-14 and couldn't be decided after both sides left a ball dead on the jack!!

Only one Alliance and one Cardiff Midweek League fixture for us this week.

No East Wales Private Greens fixtures for our Firsts or 'A' on Saturday.

Sunday sees us hosting a select team of past club players who are currently playing at pastures new. They are returning to Llwynfedw to join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our club. 🎉

Great result today for our first team in a very close encounter against our chasers in Div 5 Merthyr West End Bowls Club 'A'.

The overall result could have gone either way right up until the last ends so we were very happy with 10 points!!

We would also like to pass our congratulations from all at St Joseph's re your result in the last 8 this afternoon in the Carruthers Cup against Gilfach Bargoed 👏🏼.

Result from our rescheduled midweek fixture which was played last night against a very good Rhiwbina side.

The green (I'm sure at times it is actually green) was playing extremely fast but also really true.

One of our rinks took an early 18 - 0 lead after 7 ends. Most sides being 18 - 0 down would have given up.........but credit where credit is due. The Rhiwbina 4 really dug in and was probably one of the greatest sporting comebacks I've ever had the misfortune of being involved in and they totally turned it around and turned us over winning 25 - 20. 👏🏼
