💙 Diolch, netball community 💙
As we head through the season, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who makes netball in Wales what it is.
We’re currently just shy of our highest ever total and that’s something we’re incredibly proud of. Especially after a season that began with important changes, your continued commitment and support have not gone unnoticed.
We’re also proud to acknowledge support from The National Lottery.
, Wales Netball can continue strengthening opportunities across the sport, supporting participation, development and progression.
Thank you for being part of the journey and for helping us build something we can all be proud of. 🏐💙

Welsh history made ✅
Deeside Netball make history with a landmark Welsh promotion to the England Netball Premier League.
Led by Head Coach Trish Sterling and co‑captains Evie Brereton and Lois Hough, Deeside secured their place in Premier League 3 after a standout weekend at the England Netball Premier League Play‑Offs.
Deeside Netball Club, founded in 1979 by Merle Hamilton , is one of the largest and longest‑established clubs in Wales, with a strong track record of developing players who go on to represent Wales at age‑group and senior level.
💬 Head Coach Trish Sterling said: “This promotion is a testament to the hard work and belief of the players, coaches and volunteers across Deeside Netball. It also shows young athletes in Wales that it is possible to progress from local club netball all the way through to competing in national league competition. We are incredibly proud to be the first Welsh team to achieve this and excited to represent Wales on the Premier League".
Massive congratulations to everyone involved ❤️

What young people say they play at school really matters 🏫🏐
The Sport Wales School Sport Survey takes place every four years and will be taking place this year in schools from 13 April to 17 July.
Schools receive individualised links to complete the online survey with their pupils, and the results will help schools understand what children do, what they would like more of, what they enjoy and how they feel in and around sport.
The outcomes also help inform funding for grassroots sport, including netball. School netball feeds our clubs, our regions and our national teams and that’s why the Sport Wales School Sport Survey matters so much.
Let’s make sure netball is clearly seen, valued and represented.💙 and let's choose NETBALL on the School Sport Survey.

The momentum is building ✨
The 2026 Commonwealth Games are steadily approaching and we can't help but look back on the 2022 games...
Wales stepped onto the global stage having earned their place among strong competition drawn alongside Malawi, Scotland, Trinidad and Tobago, Northern Ireland, and Zimbabwe.
It was recognition of the journey they had been on, climbing to 8th in the World Netball Rankings and securing their spot among netball’s elite. Over a six-month period, Wales not only held their ground but pushed forward gaining a remarkable 10 ranking points, the biggest increase of any nation at the time.
Moving from 110 to 120 points, and climbing another place in the world rankings, reflected more than just numbers.
It told the story of a team finding its stride and proving its potential. 💘

It's Mental Health Awareness Week 💘
Most of us are facing challenges that aren’t always visible, and some days can feel harder than others. That’s why weeks like this matter, reinforcing the importance of kindness, compassion and support for ourselves and for one another.
We have previously partnered with the Mental Health Foundation to create a mental health awareness guide. This guide will equip you to continue in supporting your mental health, spot the signs of mental ill health, know how to talk to others and signpost you or others to specialist help.
