Cardiff Gymkhana Cricket Club was formed in 1994 by a group of friends with a passion for cricket. The members are primarily of Welsh Asian decent although we strongly encourage participation from all backgrounds irrespective of age, race, religion and ability. Cardiff Gymkhana Cricket Club currently has Five Teams:

Cardiff Gymkhana Cricket Club was formed in 1994 by a group of friends with a passion for cricket. The members are primarily of Welsh Asian decent although we strongly encourage participation from all backgrounds irrespective of age, race, religion and ability.
The club started in the local midweek league but after a couple of successful seasons it was decided to enter additional teams in the local weekend leagues. In 1997 the club entered in to the Welsh Cricket Club Conference league and year by year the club proved to be successful and briskly climbed the divisions. In 2006, the club also set up a youth section and plans are afoot to expand the number of youth members.
The club currently competes in the third division of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire Cricket League and in first division of Cardiff Mid-Week Cricket League. The club has achieved honours in both leagues. The youth team in only its second season of competition also reached the final of U15s competition. The club also has also forged links with local secondary schools whose pupils actively participate in the club’s youth cricket development programme.
