A FEW words from the Gaffa ....without swearing !😳
it wasn't that long ago that johnstown fc. Was a favourite to collapse and fold 😳 fast forward a few years Other clubs have been and gone and here we still are and still with two teams ! The reserves got promoted and to a cup final. The firsts won a cup final. And have now gained promotion !! Now obviously id like to take all the glory and plaudits for this 😬, but I can't! Without the commitee mainly chris and lyn ( who for years have had to put up with my constant moaning and nagging !) and the other coaches. ( Smithy rich and wayne ) this wouldnt have been possible! What people don't understand is the actual sheer amount of work that goes on behind the scenes , without these people the club wouldnt be where it is now , this is all done voluntary !!! Along with local businesses that help sponsor us ( more on that in the coming weeks ❤️) to give us much needed kit and equipment ! It is a thankless task running ,managing and coaching a club . The stuff ive had to deal with and the abuse ive had personally over the years is just unbelievable you wouldnt believe the half of it , ive nearly quit so many times its a running joke !🤔😬. But here I still am (just) and here johnstown still is and it will continue to thrive no matter what !❤️⚽️
Lastly I would like to thank the most important people at this club ... the Players ! Without you there is no club, Some left, Most stayed others came and continue to do so , loyalty and commitment keep clubs going , cheers lads its very much appreciated 👏 ⚽️❤️.
I personally dedicate this message and all the achievements of this club under myself so far to Keith-Amanda Elsom-millar the foundations of any club are built on players from the past . ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Johnstown Football Club’s ‘Coley Corner’ project has been shortlisted for the Tesco Fruit & Veg Grants Programme.

From Monday 3rd August until the end of November, every time you shop at Tesco Extra Carmarthen, you’ll be able to vote for our project using the blue token you receive at the checkout.

Named in memory of our much-loved coach Chris, who sadly passed away last autumn, Coley Corner will transform an unused area of our club grounds into a welcoming community space featuring a wellbeing area, a small orchard and an equipment hub.

The project with the most votes will receive first prize, so while we wish the other shortlisted projects the very best of luck, every single blue token really will make a difference to us!
