Race for Others was started in 2021 …this is why

For those of you who don’t know, in 2017 my Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

This has been one the hardest things we have had to deal with as a family.

I started Race for Others as a way to give back to those who helped my Mum survive. But also became my way of coping with the trauma of watching my Mum battle cancer

Race for Others is there, not only to raise money but to bring a community together and support one another through these difficult times. It also reminds people of the symptoms of Breast Cancer and what to watch out for.

Also to teach people that once someone has had cancer, the effects are always on going. It never ends. Mentally and physically. This year my Mum had to have a hysterectomy due to cancer tablets she was taking. 9 years later she is still dealing with the consequences of this disease.

And it is thanks to people like you that my Mum was able to survive 🩷

Race for Others has raised £19,587 for Breast Cancer Now

We’re working hard to raise as much as possible for Breast Cancer Now, but have you ever wondered what your fundraising can actually achieve?
